I wore a simple black jacket and jeans for dinner, I was waiting in car for Ash to come out from her apartment. After sometime she opened passenger door and settled herself.
She was looking so elegant, she was wearing a black full sleeve top and jeans, her curly hair were falling on her shoulder, she was simple but still manages to take my breath away every single time.
I leaned forward and gave her a gentle kiss, “looking beautiful love” I said.
“ yeah I know” she winked, she never fails me with her humor. Within 30 minutes we reached to an open air restaurant facing the beach. Bryan and Lucy were waiting for us, when we reached I shake my hand and Ash hugged both of them.
“I am so happy for you both” Bryan said.
We both smiled and then there comes waiter waiting for our order. I and Bryan ordered light beer whereas Ash and Lucy ordered margarita.
“ So when you two are planning to marry” I asked Lucy.
“ we haven't yet decided but may be soon”
My phone rang, it was from my mother. I excused myself from them.
“Hello mom, what happened you never call me at uneven hours”
“ son…” she said and started crying.
“Mom… mom..” I yelled but still no response.
“mom you are scaring me now.” I said.
“ son… your father had a heart attack this evening and he is no more” she said sobbing.
“ what…” and then phone disconnected.
Without uttering a word to Ash I rushed myself to the main gate of the restaurant.
