[10]

13th of November, 2014

My head jerked up from the driver's seat of the car to look at the sky after a few bolts of lightening illuminated the dark clouds. I sighed and continued cleaning the windows from the inside of the last car. I took the car I had to the car wash and cleaned the windows when I got back. I had to clean the windows of Aisling's car before I could take it for a wash as well.

There was a rumble of thunder, causing me to jump at the abruptness and loudness of the sound. I chuckled at myself and started up the car. I was letting the engine heat up when it began to pour down hard. The passenger door was hastily opened and Zayn sat next to me.

"This fucking rain, man." He muttered.

"I love this weather," I smirked, looking at Zayn in his drenched coat, "especially since I didn't have to run through it like you did."

Zayn smacked my arm and glared at me, "Fuck you."

I laughed and put the car in drive, "So, I'm assuming you wanted to come with me, which is why you're here."

"Of course, mate! I actually think I'm in love with you. Irena is a bit... Girly for me. I think I swing the other way." He said.

"Uhm, excuse me?" I put my emergency lights on and drove slowly because I couldn't see the road in front of me. I turned my head to look at him to see if he was joking or not. "You serious or..."

"I am so serious, Nialler."

"Zayn, I love you and whatnot but in a brother sort of way. I personally don't swing that way. And you know I love Aisling. Sorry, mate."

He was quiet for a few seconds before he burst out laughing, "I was totally joking, Niall! I love Irena and I know you love Aisling. I love messing with you because the way you react is to die for."

"You're a fucking chancer, ya know that? I fucking hate you sometimes." I smacked his chest and laughed. I turned into the gas station and went to the automatic carwash. "Do you need me to take you anywhere?"

"Nah, just that you and I could hang out today. Want to grab a coffee after this?"

"Sure," I smiled, slowly driving through the wash, "so, Zayn Malik, how's life?"

"Good, actually! I'm applying at a few colleges here and there. I really hope I get into Trinity College Dublin. My uncle moved out here for school and then moved out to America after he got his degree. I want to be like him, ya know? Go to school and then get the fuck away from everyone who tried to bring me down."

I smiled, "You'll get into TCD easily. Trust me. If you graduated early that means your grades were top."

He lightly chuckled and looked over at me, "What about you?"

"What about me?"

"What schools have you applied to or are going to apply to?" He asked.

I shrugged and furrowed my eyebrows, "None, actually. This school thing isn't really my thing. After Aisling let's me go, I'll probably go find another job, maybe give guitar lessons at my house."

"What? You don't want to go to school and get a further education and move the fuck out of Ireland with your family?"

"Yes, Zayn, of course I want to further my education but I am not financially fit for that kind of dedication. Even if I get a student loan, mate. It's going to haunt me for the rest of my life."

"You could always get Aisling to help you. She would never say no to you, Niall." He suggested.

"I could but I won't. She's already helping me with Kerrigan's surgery. I'm already asking for so much, Zayn. I don't want to push it."
