4th of November, 2014

It has been three days since Aisling and I had joined our bodies as one. It has also been three days since she's been ignoring me. I was confused because she was the one who said she wanted us to happen. I was the one who was hesitant to start anything because, no matter what I felt, I still worked for her. Although, I did give her my word that we'd be together in the near future. Preferably after I was done being her employee.

I was completely muddled at the fact that I was being avoided. It really wasn't the best feeling in the world; especially when I opened up to her after we made love. The only time she would say anything to me was when she gave me a task to do; not only did she walk away from me without getting an answer but she'd assign a task that took up almost the whole day so I didn't have to see her.

I cleaned up my room before walking out the door to go downstairs for breakfast. I stopped dead in my tracks in the hall outside my bedroom and so did she.

We made eye contact but I couldn't really read what hers were saying. I cleared my throat and smiled. "Morning, Aisling. You look lovely."

She gave me a curt nod before going down the stairs. I looked at the hardwood floor and sighed. This whole job just got really awkward.

"Ni?" I heard someone say. I looked up to see Zayn standing in the doorway of his room. "Why are you standing out here by yourself, mate?"

"It's nothing, Zayn." I tried to fake a smile but I knew I was caught because he blocked my way when I tried to head for the stairs.

"Something's bothering you. What's wrong? You know you can tell me, right? We are friends after all."

"Well, you obviously know that Aisling and I slept together the other day." I said in a hushed tone. Zayn put his weight against the hallway wall and nodded at me to continue. "I don't know why but she's been avoiding me since then. I mean, I didn't think she would ignore me since we came to a mutual agreement that we'd go somewhere with what we've started after I stopped working for her." I sighed. "I don't know. I don't want to be a bother about something so small."

"You aren't being a bother and this isn't small. At least, from what I am comprehending, it's not a small thing to you." Zayn stuffed his hands in his pockets and shrugged. "I really don't know what her problem is but I will try to figure it out. You're my friend now and seeing you upset sort of sucks."

"Thanks, Zayn. I would really appreciate of you can figure out what I did wrong because not knowing is really killing me."

"Don't mention it, mate," he patted my back and smiled, "now, let's go eat some breakfast."

We headed downstairs together and made our way into the dining room, where Irena and Aisling were already eating and chatting. She looked up at me and I tried to smile at her again but she quickly adverted her eyes back to her food and her best friend.

I sighed, dishing my food and pouring myself a cup of coffee. I looked over at Zayn and shrugged before I walked to the kitchen and through the patio doors. I set my breakfast on the table and sat down on the wooden chair.

I'd rather be eating alone than eating next the girl that I'm crazy about, who just happens to enjoy ignoring me at all costs.

As I ate, my phone began to ring in my pocket. I pulled it out and smiled when I saw Greg's name pop up.

"Hello, Gregory!" I smirked to myself, "How is my favourite brother doing?"

He let out a groan, "You know I hate it when you call me that." I chuckled at his response. "I was going to tell you some good news but I guess since you used 'Gregory', I don't have to tell you."
