24th it December, 2014

I was buzzing to say the least. It was Kerrigan's and Louis' birthday today, as well as Christmas Eve. The princess themed surprise birthday party we were holding for my sister had finally come. Although I wasn't too excited about dressing up as Aladdin, I didn't mind sacrificing my manliness by wearing a vest over a white t-shirt just to see my sister smile. I was glad I wasn't Prince Charming like Louis was because I was not going to put on a pair of leggings, even if Kerrigan begged me.

Kerrigan decided to go take a shower by herself because, apparently, being nine years old gave her more freedom than when she was eight. We didn't mind, though. It gave us a chance to discuss important details.

Greg, Denise, Louis, Eleanor, and I were sitting around the dining table, trying to plan out our duties for today.

"So, we need our distraction people, our cake pick up person, and our decorating people." Greg sighed, looking at the checklist he made on his phone. "Who wants to do what?"

"Well, seeing as Kerrigan decided to wear her Cinderella dress all day today, I am positive she'd want to get her nails done all pretty," Eleanor said, "which is why I think Denise and I should take her to the nail salon for a few hours."

"And if whoever needs more time to decorate we can get our nails done, too." Denise smiled.

"Okay, Denise," I playfully rolled my eyes, "we already know you two want to get your nails done. Don't need to use the time as an excuse."

She smacked my arm lightly and laughed.

"Should we ask Zayn and Irena to leave the mansion early and pick up the cake on their way here or us that too rude?" Louis asked, "because I was thinking you, me, and Greg could decorate the way we want."

"Sure. I'll text him and tell them to come by four so they can help us do last minute touch ups with our decorating. Sound alright?" I asked, pulling out my phone to shoot a text to Zayn.

"Sounds perfect," Greg nodded, "can you ladies be back by 4:30?"

"Sure, love. We can do that." Denise gave him a kiss on the cheek before getting up get everyone some coffee.

"Niall?" Kerrigan called from her bedroom, "can you please come here?"

"I'll be there in a second, princess." I sang back. I looked at everyone and shrugged. "So, we've got everything sorted, yeah?" They nodded so I got up and made my way to my sister's room. "Kerrigan? What's wrong, love?"

"Shut the door, please," she whispered so I did as I was told, "I'm not really a big girl yet, NiNi. I still need help with things."

"You're never going to be a big girl in my eyes, princess. You're always going to be my baby sister," I smiled, "what do you need help with?"

"I can't get my dress on."

"Not a problem." I picked up the dress and held it over her head. Kerrigan lifted her arms straight up and I slid it down her body. I pushed her hair to the side and zipped it up. "There you go, Cinderella." It wasn't a floor length dress and I was thankful because if she wore it in the snow, she'd be devastated that it got ruined. It went down passed her knees so she put on a pair of leggings underneath. "Is that all, your highness?"

"No," she whispered, "can you do my hair? Like mum always did?"

I tried not to let a sad sigh escape my lips so I quickly smiled and nodded. Mum always did this thing called a sock bun. It was that hair thing that ballerinas did. I learned how to do it because when Kerrigan was six, she was in ballet and she had a recital that my parents couldn't come to due to work. I had to do her hair and I had done it perfectly.
