The Reception (Part 3)

"Crap, I forgot to take that off." I say.

"But isn't your dad here?" He asks me.

"Yes, but we don't have a good relationship. It's something we can go into later, but I told him he could come. But I didn't want him walking me down the aisle or dancing with me. And my grandpa's knee's are very fragile to say the least." I say rubbing my hands together nervously.

Then a man walks up to us. "Hey dad." Daniel says to the man.

"Hey Danny, Alyssa your mother gave me a brief explanation of the situation. May I have this dance?" He asks with his hand out.

"Y-yeah." I stutter shocked. I take his hand and stand up. We make our way over to the dance floor. I look over at my grandpa who is grinning, then to my biological father who looks upset. He wasn't angry, he was sad.

Daniels dad put his hand on my waist and the other on my shoulder. "My name is Jeff, by the way." He says.

"Allie," I say. "Thank you."

"For what?" He asks.

"Dancing with me. It saved me an awkward moment with the producers." I say shaking me head.

"Your welcome. It's nice to get a chance to chat with you, without someone interrupting us."

I chuckle, "Yeah." I pause. "It's all so crazy, I knew I was marrying a stranger. When I walked down the aisle I knew he looked familiar. Then I heard his name..."

Jeff laughs. "You didn't see his face, but when you walked down the aisle his face lit up. I have never seen him look at someone like he did when he saw you."

"Really?" I say.

"Yeah, I think this is the start of something beautiful between the two of you."

The song ends the DJ says, "Now it's time for the couples first dance!"

Jeff smiles and walks away. Daniel joins me taking Jeff's place.

"Hi." I say smiling, my cheeks get red.

"Hi." He says back. He pulls me closer and whispers in my ear, "what did you and my dad talk about?"

"You." I reply, I pull my head back a little to see his face. His eyes were wide. I chuckle.

"Should I be worried?" He asks.

"No, all good things. I promise." I say.

Our faces inches apart. "May I?" he asks.

I nod and smile. He leans in to kiss me. I kiss back.

"GET IT GIRL!" I hear Marylinn scream.

I pull away blushing. Daniel chuckles. "Ignore them. Pretend it's just me and you." He says. He kisses me again.

"YEA BOY!!" Jack yells.

This time he pulls away with a red face. I laugh, "Pretend it's just me and you, eh?"

We keep dancing and pulled away when the song ends.

A new fast pace song starts and everybody heads out to the dance floor. Me and Daniel dance together until I'm pulled away. I don't see who it is, but once I'm off the floor I turn to look at them.

"Grace? What are you doing?" I ask.

"When are you going to toss the bouquet?" She says.

"I don't know." I say.

Then we here the DJ says, "It's time for the flower toss!" Everybody leaves the floor except the unmarried girls. I get up there with my bouquet and turn around.

"Ready?" I yell. I hear a bunch of yes's. I throw it behind me and I hear screaming.

"OH MY GOD!" I turn around. Grace. I start clapping.

"Now we need to meet your mysterious boyfriend!" I call out to her.

"Now the garter!" The DJ adds.

"Shit.."I say under my breath. Apparently Marylinn saw my facial expression change as she points to me and starts laughing. She gives me two thumbs up. Daniel brings a chair round and puts it down.

I sit down and Daniel looks at me. "You alright with this?" I nod and take a deep breath.

He finds his way under my dress and I can still hear Marylinn laughing. I feel Daniels hand against my thigh motioning for me to spread my legs. I do so and then I hear him say, "Relax." I had tightened my muscled. I relaxed and then I feel his hands start to pull it down.

He came back up with it and everyone cheered. I breathed out and he laughed. He turns around and throws it to the guys.

We turn around to see who it is, Jonah. He looks kinda stunned that he caught it and slightly embarrassed. Daniel and I laugh at his facial expression.
