We finally finished getting everything into the house and settled in. We've been married four weeks and I still haven't told her I love her. Jack keep threatening me that he will tell her.
Today I was with the boys practicing some of our music. We had planned to go on a world wide tour in a couple months. I unlock the front door as the time finally hits 11pm. I walk in and close the door behind me. I hear a loud thud from upstairs and stop in my tracks.
"Allie?" I question at the end of the stairs that lead to our bedroom.
"Alyssa?" I question again going up two or three of the stairs.
I hear it again, thud.
"Alyssa!" I yell racing up the stairs.
Once I reach the top of the stairs, I run to our bedroom door. I try to turn the handle but it doesn't budge.
"Alyssa! Are you okay?" I say slamming my body against the door.
In response I hear coughing.
"Alyssa! Open the door!" I say still trying to get the door open.
After a few more body slams against the door It goes flying open. I find Alyssa held in a chock hold by a random stranger. The stranger looks up at me and smiles.
"Hello Daniel." The stranger says still holding Alyssa by her neck. Her eyes dart to me pleading and her face is starting to loose color.
"Let her go." I say slowly walking to her.
"Don't take another step." She says tightening her grip on Alyssa.
I step back. "Please don't hurt her." I say pleadingly.
"Come with me then." The stranger says.
"Let her go first." I reply.
She loosens her grip and smiles. "Put your phone on the bed."
I comply placing it face down. Out of no where I hear cop cars and see the red and blue flashing lights stop in front of my house. The stranger looks to the side and out the window. I charge at her and she loses grip on Alyssa. I tackle her to the ground and look over my shoulder at Alyssa. Her face not full of color nor purple. I hear cops break down the front door.
"Up here!" I yell. The stranger struggles against me.
The cops run up to us. They take her and when I get to Alyssa another cop has already started chest compression.
"Alyssa," I say as a tear rolls down my face and I take her hand. "Hold on. Just hold on."
Moments later she breathes in heavily and starts coughing. The cop sits her up and starts rubbing her back.
"Thank god." I say looking up at the sky.
"Danny." She breathes out.
"I'm here baby, I'm here." I say putting my hand to her cheek.
Two men come up with a gurney and put her on it. They put a mask on her to help get her some more oxygen. I grab my phone and hers. I look at mine to see I've been on the phone with Jonah for ten minutes. I put it close to my head.
"Hello? Jonah?" I say into the phone.
"Daniel? Are you okay? Is Allie okay?" He replies worriedly.
"I'm confused, how much of what happened did you hear?" I ask.
"You butt dialed me, so the boys and I thought we would listen in to see if we could hear you being weird or whatever. Then you started screaming Alyssa open the door. Zach then called the cops. What's happening?"
"Some lunatic came in the house and was chocking her, it's a long story. But can you meet me at the hospital?" I ask following Alyssa on the gurney out the house and into the ambulance.
"Of course. Be right there." I heard Jonah say. Then I hung the up.
In the back on the ambulance I put my phone in my pocket and hold her hand.
"Thanks for holding on." I tell her.
She chuckles, "I always hold on."
I squeeze her hand and smile.
As we pull up to the emergency area, they load her out of the ambulance and into the E.R. I quickly follow behind to let them work. One of the guys tells a doctor information about what happened. I quickly spot the guys and wave them over to follow us. They take her into a room and I stand in the door way and let the doctors work.
"Daniel!" I hear Zach say as he and the others walks up behind me.
"Guys." I sigh, they pull me into a group hug. we stay like that for a moment and pull away.
"What happened?" Jack says.
"Is she okay?" Corbyn questions.
"I-I think so, I'm not sure." I say catching my breathe.
"Excuse me?" I hear a new voice. I turn around to see a officer. "Mr. Seavey?"
"Yes?" I question.
"I need a statement." He says.
"Of course." I say. We go to a empty part of the waiting room and sit down. I tell him everything that happened. Eventually I rejoin the boys at the door, only to find Jonah. I look over at the bed to see Alyssa lying down with her eyes closed.
"Is she asleep?" I ask Jonah.
"Yeah. The boys went down to the cafeteria to get food. I didn't want to leave her alone." He says shifting in his leaning position in the door way.
"Thanks Jonah. I've got it from here." I say. He nods and walks off, but not after patting me on the back.
I walk close to her bed and she opens them and looks at me. She smiles weakly. "Hey." She says reaching out for my hand.
I take it and sit in a chair. "Hey, did I wake you?"
"No, I just closed my eyes to make the doctors think I did. I wanted a break from the poking and prodding." She laughs weakly. "Hey, don't cry." She pulls her hand out of mine and puts it to my cheek and wipes away a tear rolling down my face.
I place my hand over hers on my face. "You scared me Allie." I chuckle breathing out.
"But I'm okay. I'm here." She says. Just then a doctor walks in the room.
"Hello, I'm doctor Greene." The tall girl says.
"Hi." I say looking up at her. Alyssa puts her hand on her stomach and I put mine on her bed next to her.
"Alyssa is looking like she will be okay. But we would like to admit her and observe her overnight just to be safe." She says holding a chart close to her chest.
"Of course." I say. They move her to a bed upstairs and I text the boys the room number.
