Marti and the Joker were as close as a Father and Daughter could be. Joker showed her the underworld and the dirt that covered the bottom of Luthor's shoes and how to manage people whether ruthlessly or with earned loyalty. She is close with her "litter" siblings, Fern, Delia, Rich and Cat. They are under her employment, per se, even though they technically continue to use her as a pawn in the war against Luthor. They are using and preparing her for what she was created to be, yet even they don't know that it goes beyond what they imagined.
