How can i trust you?

How can they do this to me? I thought I was there friend!
Eleven ran out to the back room, followed by Steve. She was so upset! She thought they were friends! Clearly not. She broke down crying, luckily Steve caught her in his arms as she fell to the ground. All her life she had no one but then her world changed and she had the best friends she could ask for, that was until now.
"Ho-how could they do this to me?"
"I don't know El, I just don't know. They might have a good reason."
The other side of the wall
"Ahoy Robin! How are you today?" The group seemed so cheerful, they had no idea what hurt they caused...
"Hmm I'm ok but I don't think someone else is thanks to you!" She was fuming! How could they do this to Eleven! She gestured towards the room that Eleven was crying in.
Max's pov
What the hell does she mean? What have we...wait shit.
"Eleven?" How is she so gorgeous?
We really hurt her didn't we? We didn't want to, she isn't even meant to be here!
"Guys you stay out here, it might be better coming from just one person."  Shit excuse but kinda true, I want to be the one to explain to Eleven not them. Well there pissed off at me but they won't say, unless they want to regret it!
Deep breath, she can't hate you forever right?
"Hey El," oh god that's the death stare, please don't use your powers El!
"El were sorry that we upset you."
"Yeah and if your sorry why the hell did you do that?" Oh no she's screaming, she never screams...
"Look we were here because we were buying your birthday present, we wanted to give it to you on the camping trip. We wanted it to be a surprise that's why we didn't invite you."
"Birth day what's birth day?" Of course why would she know! I hardly think the lab would throw her a birthday party!
"It's when you celebrate the day someone was born, we don't know yours so we decided on 4th July! Which is when we're on the camping trip. Hopper said he'll celebrate it with you after the trip."
Normal pov
"How can I trust you," it's funny how a few words can effect someone, for El the words 'how can I trust you?' Brought back memories from when she first escaped the lab. For Max it didn't bring back a memory but a feeling of guilt, how could El not trust her?
"Friends don't lie El that's how, I would never lie to you ever!" This time it was Max who broke down, she didn't know why she just did.
Eleven held Max in her arms for what felt like an eternity, secretly they both wished it could stay this way but they knew it couldn't.
"Hey Max it's ok, I trust you."
"I'm being so stupid! I should be the one comforting you! Shit hi Steve, you been here the whole time?" Shit what if he tells the boys?
"I have been but don't worry I won't tell the boys that you two like each other," Steve may be a popular kid but he had very good detective skills, he knew they liked each other from day 1!
"What we don't like each other!" The two said in sink and they went bright red in sink.
"Hmm yeah ok then." And with that the pair ran out the door, massed the boys and home. I mean they couldn't admit it to each other right?
Back at the cabin
"Hey El, you alright?" Hopper had finally returned home but he was with Joyce which see hadn't noticed.
"Yeah, I mean no not really. I saw the others without me but Max told me they were finding a present for me. We hugged and cried in each other's arms but Steve was there and he said we like each other. Yes I really like her but she doesn't like me back right?" Of course she was talking to Hop but Joyce was the one to answer first.
"Look sweetie, you may not believe me but Max really likes you. I see the way she looks at you El."
"Oh um I-I didn't see you there Joyce I'm sorry!" For the second time today El started crying and ran to her room, she wasn't ready for someone else to know. What if Joyce sent her back to the lab? But she did seem to be accepting towards El.
Maybe I should go back out? I don't know I'm scared. Here goes...
"I'm sorry I ran of, I got scared. I didn't want anyone else to know, not yet anyway."
"It's ok El, I won't tell anyone I promise. I accept you fir who you are, how could I not? Anyway Wills gay and I don't care at mind!" Joyce's voice was very reassuring and Eleven found that comforting.
"Wait you know Wills gay? I mean he's not gay."
"Don't worry El of course I know, I've known for years!"
That evening was one of the best evenings Eleven had had in a long while, she wished hopper and Joyce would move in together so she could have 2 brothers and a mum!
