Chapter 16: Donnie's New Friend

Myra pov.

While April was scoping out on what the kraang are up to, we sat around doing our own thing. Donnie was still in his lab and Raph and Mikey are doing whatever and Leo and I are watching Space Heroes while I rested my head on his shoulder.

I don't really like the show much but I love to watch his reactions. He's adorable when he makes different faces.

"What a hero." Leo mumbled until loud stomping was heard and a small robot turtle walked up.

"Take me to your leader." The robot demanded from a megaphone.

"Leo, it's for you." Mikey called out flatly.
"What is this thing?" He asked.
"Lady, gentlemen, and Raphael." Donnie said causing Raph to glare. "This is the future of ninjutsu." Donnie stated holding a controller.
"I'd always thought the future of ninjutsu would be taller." Raph said,not impressed.

"Aww, he's so cute." Mikey cooed and tickled his chin causing a bunch of weapons to pop out and Mikey screamed.

"Yeah, he doesn't like being tickled." Donnie stated. "Isn't it cool? I reversed engineered it from the kraang droid." Donnie said while Mikey was making faces at it.
"Ok. Why?" Leo asked.
"I don't want another robot being part of the kraang." I said.
"Look, I built it so the drone could handle the dangerous stuff while we stay out of harms way." Donnie stated.
"Oh, I get it. This is for whimps too afraid to fight." Raph said.
"No, it's for whimps too smart to fight." Donnie said.
"Oh, let's call him metal head!" Mikey said tapping its head. "Why do you ask? Because its got a head and its made of-"
"We get it." Leo face palmed.

"I don't need a toaster to fight my battles for me." Raph crossed his arms.
"I know. Why need a toaster to fight when you got me?" I smirked, bumping Raph's arm.
"Shut it, princess." He said.
"This is ridiculous, Donnie. It takes the whole point out of being a ninja." Leo said.
"Its exactly the point of being a ninja, we adapt. Now watch this. Attack the drone! Give it all ya got." Donnie said.
"Are you sure? I don't want to break your toy." Leo said
"I do." Raph pushed him out of the way and unsheath his sais and jumped in the air only for meatlhead to grab him by the sais and knock him back and forth sending him to a wall and the others started attacking only to get beaten as well.

"I kicked your shells and I didn't even have to use the laser canon. Face it guys with this thing I'm invincible." Donnie smiled.
"Oh yeah?" Raph knocked the remote out of his hands until father showed up.
"Um, sensei, I was wondering if I can take metalhead out for a spin tonight?" Donnie said.
"You may." Father said.
"Thats totally unfair, you can't just- wait what?" Donnie asked.
"You have created this new weapon, you must see how it works." Father stated.
"Well that's great. Thank you, sensei." Donnie said.
"But it is a test only, do not take it into combat." Father said.
"No problem, sensei." Donnie bowed as father walked away.
"You taking it into combat aren't ya?" Raph asked.
"Totally." Donnie laughed.
I face palmed. 'Unbelievable'.

We were running from rooftops until come to a stop but the sound of clashing metal feet really made things hard as metalhead jumped to us.

"Should we double back? I think there's a car alarm we didn't set off." Leo said.
"Eh, I kinda like it. It goes nice with all the sirens and cries for help." Raph said.

"Oh come on, you guys are just jealous. Cause you're out there in the cold, and I'm here eating Mikey's last slice of pizza." Donnie said through the microphone.

"Hey!" Mikey yelled and smacked the drone. "OW!"

"Hello?" We heard someone whisper.

"Guys quiet, someone's coming." Leo said as we kneeled down but meathead was a bit noisy.
