Chapter 46: Oberation: Break out

3rd pov

The guys were in the dojo. Leo, Mikey, April and Myra were sitting in a line on the side as they watched Donnie and Raph spar together.

"Don't worry, Donnie. I'm in a good mood today. I'll go easy on you." Raph smirked.
"Don't do me any favors, Raph." Donnie said. He looked over at April who smiled back at him. "Um, in fact, maybe you'll be the one who gets gone easy on... by me. So, yeah." Donnie twirled around his staff.
"Worst smack talk ever." Mikey whispered to Leo.
"Hijime!" Splinter yelled and they began their spar.

Raph and Donnie fought each other until Donnie tripped Raph onto the ground using his staff.

"Hey! I got him! April, did you see?" Donnie asked and April just smiled.

But Raph got up and leg swept Donnie and grabbed him by the wrist using his sai.

"Say hi to Mikey and Myra. Hi Mikey, hi Myra." Raph said in a high pitched voice, making Donnie wave his hand using his sai as she tried not to laugh.
"Donnie, ha ha! Amazing! I didn't even see his lips move. He's like a puppet who can throw his voice.... to himself. Wait..." Mikey said confused.
"Yame! Raphael, that is enough." Father said.

Raph flipped Donnie over and sat on his stomach.

"Thanks for going easy on me." He got up and they exited the dojo.

"What the heck was that?" Donnie asked as he grabbed Raph's arm.
"What? Just having fan. You know how much Myra and Mikey love the Donnie puppet." Raph smiled as he shook his arms up and down. "Remember when those two would laugh their heads off. I remember Myra wouldn't stop bugging me about. Haha, good times." He laughed.
"Look, Myra I don't mind. But, dude, April was watching." He pointed at April who was on her laptop with Myra sitting next to her.

"Pretty sure she liked it.... too." Raph said as he saw Donnie frown. "Wait, you still think you have a shot with her?" Raph asked.
"Well, I mean-"
"Wow! That is so adorable! And sad. It's sadorable." Raph put the two words together.
"If you wanna impress April, you better leave me out of it." Raph stated and walked off, as Donnie frowned.

While Leo and Mikey were playing on the arcade machine, scrambled electronic sounds started playing on April's computer as April and Myra gave a confused look at each other.

"Not bad! Needs more drums!" Mikey yelled as the two boys walked up. Then the recorder just disappeared like it never played.
"What was that?" Leo asked.
"We don't know." Myra stated.
"Some random e-mail I just got. It just started playing on its own." April stated as Donnie and Raph walked up.
"Sounds like some sort of telemetric sine wave sub carrier." Donnie explained.
"Uh, dumb that down a notch." Leo said.
"It's an interference modulation used to encrypt covert transmi-"
Mikey covered Donnie's mouth. "Not enough notches." He said.
"A secret message!" Donnie stated, moving Mikey's hand away.
"Who would be sending me a secret message?" April wondered.

Hours passed as April went home and the others fell asleep in the living room as Donnie was in the lab trying decode the secret message.

Donnie kept typing away until the message started playing in English.

"April, it's dad." The voice said.
"Mr. O'Neil." Donnie gasped.
"I pray you get this message. I've been moved to a secret kraang facility." A picture of a map showed up with a flashing red dot.
"Send help, April. If you can, send help." The recording ended.
"Guys, listen to-" Donnie was about to call out for them until he remembered what Raph said to him.
"If you wanna impress April, you better leave me out of it."

Donnie downloaded the map on his T-phone and left the lair as he passed the others who were asleep.

"We'll see who's sadorable." Donnie said to himself.
