Chapter 37: Baxter's Gambit

Myra pov

We were all on look out for the kraang as Donnie saw kraang droids walking out of a laboratory with a giant gun.

"Whoa, that's a sub-spatial endo particle disruptor." Donnie said.
"Gonna have to explain if that's oh no or yay." Leo said.
"In the hands of the kraang, it's a definite oh no." Donnie stated.
"Why? What does it do?" Mikey asked.
"The disruptor can de-synchronize subatomic resonances, which invert polymolecular structures, causing the to impoled." Donnie explained with his scientific speeches Mikey gave a confused look

"It makes things go boom." Raph dialed it down a notch for Mikey to understand.
"Technically, it makes things go zwee-chooooo! Pop." Donnie explained and we gave a weird look at him. "It's important to be accurate." Donnie stated.
But I had a strange feeling we were not the only ones after the weapon.

"Ok, get in position." Leo ordered. "Ready... set-"
"Let's just go already!" Raph yelled.
We jumped down to face the kraang but Bradford and Xever jumped down as well, not knowing Baxter was with them on the roof.
"Huh?" Dogpound muttered.
"Kraang and Fishface and Dogpound? I must be dreaming. Pinch me." Raph said excitedly and Mikey pinched his cheek.
"Ow." Raph hit Mike's head.
"Ow! You said." Mikey stated and we all ran to fight to take down the kraang as we also fought off shredder's goons.

Leo tried getting to the gun but Dogpound smacked Leo out of the way as the fought.
Donnie and Mikey were taking down some kraangdroids and foot soldiers as me and Raph fought fishface but we knocked him down.

One kraangdroid got the gun from the van and started powering it up, about to shoot it at Mikey.

Before the charge bomb could hit him, Mikey jumped out of the way as the charge bomb hit a car, making the exact sounds how Donnie described when it shrank.

"Whoa, Donnie, you totally called it bro."
Mikey said and Donnie nodded.

The kraang drove off as we were left fight off the others.

"Guys, we gotta move." Leo stated but me and Raph kept fighting Fishface.
"Raph, Myra, now!" Leo yelled.
"Yes, run along now you two." Xever ran away.
"This isn't over, fishface." Raph stated as we ran back to the lair.

We were sitting in a straight line as father wanted to test out our training skills by swing a wooden sword on our heads.

Donnie was up first and he tried moving out of the way but father was faster, hitting Donnie on the head.
"Ow. Aw man." Donnie groaned.
Mikey came up next as he kept moving back and forth nervously, waiting for sensei to swing.
"Just so we're clear sensei, you are planning on swinging, ri- Ow"!" Mikey failed.
Raph was up next. "Ow!" But he failed as well.
I was next and determined to stay focus. I heard the sword starting to swing down and I moved but not fast enough when the sword hit my back.
"Dang it, so close." I mumbled.
Leo was up and just as he was about to get hit, he rolled out of the way. "Yes!" He cheered.
"What is the point of this anyway?" Raph asked.
"Evading a sword you cannot see demonstrates an ability to sense your enemy's intention." Father explained.
"I already know my enemy's intention, sensei. To take me down." Raph stated.
"Knowing that your enemy's strike is a given." Father stated. "But sensing when he will strike can mean the diff between victory and defeat."
"Hai, sensei." Raph said and we bowed as father walked back to his room and we went back up to the surface, jumping from rooftops until we came to a stop.

"I got eyes on one giant dog and fish. 6:00." Donnie said.
"Where?!" Mikey said excitedly then frowned. "Aw man, it's just Fishface and Dogpound."We saw them hiding behind a corner of a building.
"What are they doing out in the open like this?" Leo questioned. "I think we should proceed with caution, guys. Guys?" He turned to see us not there and fighting. "Aw man." Leo groaned.
