Chapter 45: Parasitic

3rd pov

They guys were in the shellraiser on another hunt to find the kraang without Myra as Mikey spun around in his seat all bored.

"Another day, another kraang hunt." He sighed then smirked when he got an idea.

He looked over at Raph who was keeping an eye on the screen ahead as Mikey smashed his hands on his shoulders.

"Raph, fire the weapons!" He yelled.
"I don't think so." Raph nudged him off.
"See, that's your problem. If I was in charge of weapons, I'd be firing at things all the time. The mailbox, blam. That newsstand, boom." Mikey smiled.
"And that's why you're not in charge of the weapons. Now get back to your station and tell me which way to go." Leo ordered.

Mikey got back to his seat as he looked at the map. "Ok, you should turn right........ three blocks ago." He said and the others groaned.

When they got to their destination, Leo parked the shellraiser in and alleyway and got out. They turned a corner as they saw the building in sight.

"This must be the hidden kraang lab." Donnie stated.
"Let's trash the place!" Raph yelled.
"Hold on, Raph. This is a recon mission. We go in there, find out what the kraang are up to, and then trash the place." Leo stated.
"Fine. Wake me when we get to the trashing part." Raph said and they entered the place to see all the kraangdroids in pieces.

"Aww man, someone beat us to it." Raph groaned.
"It looks like one of their mutagen experiments got away from them." Leo said.
Donnie looked up to see posters with wasp labels. "It seems they were doing experiments on arthropods. Weird." He said as Mikey spun around in an office chair.

Donnie opened a cabinet full of supplies. "Hey, this equipment's still good. Oh, nice centrifuge." He smiled widely.
"If I ever get that excited about a centrifuge, just put me out of my misery." Raph said to Leo.

Mikey help up a kraang head and looked up at the ceiling.

"Hey, Donnie, how big do you think one of those arthropods may be?" He asked.
"Well, a bee's about 4 millimeters, and a wasp would be 6." Donnie stated.
"THEN WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!" Mikey yelled as a huge wasp landed in front of them.

The wasp flew around until it pushed Raph down, trying to bite his head.

"Get it off, get it off!" He yelled and Donnie used his staff to knock it back.

Donnie tried distracting the wasp as Raph went for an attack but the wasp countered and knocked Raph into the ceiling.

It went flying at Donnie's head but missed by a few inches. Leo used his swords to knock it back. It gave time for the others to hide behind a wall.

"We need a plan. And fast!" Leo stated.
"I know. I'll catch it with my kusarigama chain." Mikey said.
"That wasp is too strong. How about this? Mikey, you get it to chase you and we'll ambush it." Leo said.
"Why don't we ever do my plans?" Mikey asked.
"Because they're your plans. Now go!" Leo ordered.
Mikey groaned in defeat and jumped onto a table.

"Hey wasp! Come and get it!" He yelled. The wasp started to chase him around in a circle as he ran for his life.
"He's really turned running away screaming into an art form." Raph said.
"Well, at least he's good at something, right?"Donnie questioned until Mikey tripped and fell. "Good- ish." Donnie restated.

The wasp was about to sting Mikey but he rolled out of the way as the other got into position to ambush it.
"NOW!" Leo yelled and they jumped down. But Mikey caught it in his chain.
"Ha! How ya like me now?" He gloated.

The wasp got up and started flying around and knocked Mikey into Raph and Donnie.

"A lot less than I did a few seconds ago." Raph stated.
