Hi guys, I know you will hate me somewhat for this chapter. :|

Dylan's POV

I was sitting on my bed in the silence of a Sunday morning. I had to go back to school tomorrow, oh joy. My clothes are starting to get to small for me and unlike most parents; mine don’t take me school shopping. Well since I recently turned sixteen I can get a job. why not get one right now?

I through some clothes on and started walking downstairs. My parents weren’t home, like usually, so I didn’t have to worry about them at least. When I got to the living room there was a knock on the door. I hesitated to open it but when I did I was greeted by a hug and a happy voice,

“Hi Dylan!” Sam shouted at me.

“Hey Sammy.” I replied ruffling his hair. He grunted at me and fixed his hair.

He sat down on my couch and turned on the television. I sat down close next to him, he looked over at me and smiled. I couldn’t help but to smile back at him.

“Sam…” I was trying to build the courage to tell him how I feel about him.

“Yeah Dylan”

“Nothing…” but like always I lost it. It was just another of my several failed attempts over the years.

I don’t really know why I get to scared when I want to tell him. I guess it is because I know he is straight and it will ruin our friendship. Besides he is with April and I know he doesn’t feel the same way back to me. I wish I was as lucky as Alex could be…but maybe he was right when I talked to him two weeks ago…maybe I just picked the wrong person to fall in love with.

“I’m bored, Dylan” Sam said looking at me.

“We have only been watching TV for…not ever two minutes” I said raising an eyebrow.

“I know but TV is boring let’s play a game.”

“What kind of game do you want to play?”

“I don’t really know. There are so many kinds of games. Board games, video games, physical games, oral games, athletic games, mental games, writing games, card games, funny games, boring games. There is just so many I don’t know which to choose from.”

He was so cute sometimes. Sure he acted like a little kid but that was something I liked about him. He was so spunky and outgoing, something I could never be even if I wished.

After about an hour and a half of playing different kinds of video games Sam looked at me,

“You know what we should do?” he said his eyes glowing.

“what should we do?” I smiled at him.

“We should go to Jess’s house. I haven’t seen him out of school since he first moved here. Then we can all come back here and hang out.”

Jesse Anderson was a blonde haired boy who met us when he first moved here from England. Sam was the first “friend” he made. Sadly he started getting farther apart from us and closer to Alex. Even though I said Alex might be alone his whole life I am starting to have regrets.

You see the moment Jess walked into the store Alex works in, Alex stole him away from us. I mean Jess is really cute, I’ll give him that but I never though the bully to all the grades would fall for him.

“Dylan?” he interrupted my thoughts.

“Oh sorry, yeah I think we should totally go and hang out with him”
