Glowing blue crystals slowing growing around us. Illuminating her face as well as my own. I stared at my mother as she finished her story. Barely process everything as mom stood, going back to her original task. There was a place that disappeared. My mom was from another country as well as my aunts and uncles and every other Majinx. "Mom?" She hummed softly as she worked. "What does that name mean? Hestaooma?" She thought about it for second before clicking her tongue. "In this country. The home that destroyed itself. In Hestauma, the home that is victorious." I heard that phrase before in history class. Something about how the whole county suddenly disappeared and the survivors were found on a small island, that is called Sarlpus. "Mom? Another thing," I saw my mother look over her shoulder with a faint sound. "Sarlpus?" She nodded faintly before thinking more. Her head tilted. "Island of survivors. Kinda. loose interpretation." She waved a hand around in a circular motion. "It was the Mathos mountain. The tallest mountain in Hestauma. It actually has one of the entrances to the lab. though the halls are filled with water and ice." Mom shook her head a bit in exasperation. "You can thank Moon and Solstice. For that." I looked at my mother in a strange way. "Moon and Solstice?" She flinched a bit before chuckling. "Eli Moon and Molly Solstice. Well, Eliza moon though she likes to be called Eli. Moon can manipulate water and Solstice can extract heat until things freeze. Thus, ice and water. They are often found near each other." I hummed softly as I stared down at the dirt. Contemplating my words carefully. "And, Doctor Ivanstein, is he still alive?" My mother's back tensed. "Unfortunately. He escaped before I-" She stopped herself midsentence before growling faintly. "He should be thrown in a bloody prison for what he have done." Her voice was filled with malice and bloodlust. Not a tone that one would want to hear from one's mother. The murder title was starting to make more sense. "Mom." She let out a breath before chuckling. "Sorry. He was just a nuisance that needs to be taken care of. Go home. Will you?" I nodded as she opened up a holde for me to climb up. "See you later!" She waved as I walked into the hole.
~~~~Diamond's POV~~~~
I watched my daughter leave before sighing heavily. The earpiece in my pocket beeped and I pressed the button on the side before placing it in my ear. "Diamond Stone speaking." There was a burst of laughter on the other side. "HI DIA!!" The feedback from the earpiece made my ear hurt. "Gah! Jacquelyn Smith!" The laughing continued before pittering off a bit. "Sorry! Hehe, so how's it going? Long-time no talk." There was a faint giggle. I closed my eyes while I sighed. I love Smith but she drains my energy with only one word. "Well, to catch you up, Crystal is a year older. As is Quartz. Their magic is growing stronger every day. Makes me wonder what their limits will be." I looked up at the foundation of my children's school. She hummed faintly. "I heard about Crystals form. Circuit says it's awesome! Though a bit underdeveloped in the, erm boob area. His words, not mine." My brows twitched. Annoyed that someone would even think to look at her chest. "Why was your son looking at her lack of breast!" A large crack formed under my feet and mercury began pooling around me through small cracks. Smith just sighed faintly, clearly annoyed with her boy as well. "I have already spoken to him about it. He seems to be entering puberty." I shuttered a bit and began to remove the mercury. "Still, I would like to punch him in the face." Smith chuckled half-heartedly. "That would be assaulting a minor and illegal." I let out a groan while rubbing my ear. "Damn laws." This time, Smith exploded with laughter. Clearly amused by me. "Oh, shut up Smith. Anyway, why are you calling. This doesn't feel like a social call. You use my phone for that." She let out a thoughtful hum as the sound of typing was clear through the earpiece. "How." Smith paused, considering her words carefully. "Would you feel to know that the lab is... Operational again?" The ground broke under my feet and my eyes glowed dangerously. "What." The crystals began glowing red. "Ḟ̵̡͛i̶̱̯͑n̸͙̬̔͝d̴̝͎͑ ̷̭̣͆m̵̬̺̓̉y̴̢̰͆͝ ̵̭̍d̶̨̦́̏ǎ̷̗͎̋ú̸͓g̵͔̜͝h̸̠͔͗t̵͓̚e̸̙͖͑r̶͉͂͗ ̸͈͇̃S̴̱̍m̷͔̬͌i̷̪̤͗̕t̶̢̪͐͗h̶̩̕!̴̙́̀ ̶͙̰̽Q̴̬̃ů̶͈̯͌ï̶̢̀c̶̨̍k̷̰̠͂́l̶̙͖̀̔y̵̗̍͝!̸̬̩͋"
~~~~Crystal's POV~~~~
I walked down the sidewalk calmly. Mulling over everything my mother had told me. Honestly? I didn't think she was a murder. Well, at least she didn't want to be. It was just other people forcing her hand. Making her do things that she would have never- "Oof!" I rubbed my nose as I looked up at what I had it. A tall female looked down at me. A look of surprise crossed her face before it turned into an ever so slight smile. "I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" The woman waved my apology off a bit. The smile still on her face. "Oh, hush. No harm done." Something about the woman creeped me out. Maybe it was how the woman smiled or how her eyes glinted with a strange curiosity. "So, what has you so troubled young lady?" She tilted her head, smiling wider. "Ah, just, something my mother said, is all." I shuffled my feet a bit as I refused to look at her in the eye. Though not really taking my eyes off her. "Oh? Who is your mother?" I hesitated, not liking the looked of the person. "Uh...Molly... Moon. Yea Molly moon." The woman let out a hum as she stood straight. "Molly moon at? Mmm. I've heard that last name before." She seemed to sway back and forth in place. "Ah, yes." Her eyes seemed to glow faintly. "Number thirty and fourteen. But," A wicked smile spread across her face while her face was cased in a shadow. "Neither of them are your parents. No, I believe that honor is," She got incredibly close to my face and held a strand of my hair. "Number two's."
There was a wordless shout behind me and a large shard of some sort of quartz flew over my shoulder. Grazing the woman's face. A hand grabbed my arm and I was pulled behind a body. "Ah, hello, Number Two. Fancy meeting you here." My mother growled as she began to shift. Though, something was wrong. Instead of blue.
The crystals were turning blood red.
