After that meeting between the twins, matters only got worse. Kaylee had the entire weekend to think over what happened before she realized that she really shouldn't have said what she said about their father... she should have kept her mouth shut. She honestly wanted overall peace with her father but deep down inside, she knew Jasmine was right. Their dad is and always will be the same narcissistic bastard who murdered their mother and inflicted pain upon them for years. Jasmine was obviously only trying to look out for her seemingly careless naïve sister.

"If you and Jasmine were fighting, why'd you run away from her?  You should have talked it out." Nathan opened the front gate to the high school, letting Kaylee walk in first. He tried to hide his disappointed look.

"You don't know my sister. She's got a temper."

"And you don't?" He bluntly asked, taking it back after he noticed it upset her. "Sorry I didn't meant to sound like an ass."

"It's alright." She half smiled, taking her textbook from his hands. "Um.. I should get to class then, see you at lunch?"

"Yeah." He pecked her on the lips before she went off.

A/N: I didn't like the way the book was going so I deleted a lot of it. I'm currently reconstructing it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
