✽Kaylee's POV✽

Almost a month had passed since the incident and Jasmine was finally well again. I spent all morning trying to convince her to go to school.

“Jazz, you have to go!" I yelled trying to push her out of bed.

“No! I just got out of the hospital, I’m not ready to go see people.”

I shook my head as Cristal came up into our loft, “Come on, Jasmine! You might make some new friends or meet some old ones.”

Jasmine rolled off the bed and into the floor, and mumbled something about being ready in five minutes.

Cristal and I went downstairs and joined Elena who as always was happily eating Froot Loops which we had to buy more of.

“Where’s Jon and Jennifer? I mean.. my dad.” I asked more concerned where Jon was.

“They left about five minutes ago.” Elena replied with a mouthful of cereal.

“That’s so disgusting! Can you at least swallow your food before you speak. I’d rather not wear your food to school.” Cristal nagged.

Elena just shrugged at her remark. I grabbed an apple from the bowl on the counter. It was about the time Jasmine came through the kitchen.

“Well let’s go ahead and get this over with.” She didn’t even stop, she just kept walking all the way to the front door with us close behind her.

✽Jasmine's POV✽

I opened my locker next to Kaylee’s.

“He isn’t here. That’s a good thing right? We’re safe here.” She was obviously trying to make me feel better.

I shook my head, “We’re never safe. You know that.” She sighed and shut her locker.

“We can hope, right?” Then she just walked away.

When lunch came along, I couldn't find Kaylee, Elena, or Cristal. So I guess I’m stuck sitting alone at lunch. I sat at an empty table eating my lunch waiting for someone to show up.

“Can I sit here?” I looked up at the face that belonged to the voice I hadn’t heard in years.

“Sure.” He sat beside me and held out his hand.

“In case you don’t remember me, I’m Logan.”

“Of course I remember my best friend.” I smiled, shaking his hand.

He smiled and leaned on his elbows against the table, “So, Jasmine. What have I missed?”

I’ll admit at first I wasn’t sure if it was him, but when I saw his face I was sure. Even with all the years that have passed I never forgot about him. The rest of the lunch period we caught up on his life and the non-depressing parts of mine.

“So Kaylee and I have just been trying to find Cody. Well, you know, without Jon finding out.” Logan knew about Jon. He hated him almost as much as I did. I looked down at the table holding back the tears that had started to form when the bell rang.

“Meet me at the front doors at the end of school I have to show you something.” Before I could interject he was gone.
