Chapter 20: A belly full of rocks

JOEL P.O.V

It was disgusting, but I had to do it. I needed to make sure this monster wasnt gonna ever kill again. I snipped through the skin, and put the rocks in. Quickly, I sewed up the rocks. His stomach bulged, and I rolled him into the water. I was pretty proud of myself. Clementine was still crying. Then I heard a scream.

Bigby surfaced.

He screamed, clutching his gut.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!" He screamed at me.

I thought he wasn't gonna wake up.

BIGBY P.O.V

I Looked down in horror at my stomach. At least he did a good job of it. I coughed, and a few pebbles came out. My stomach was in pain, as I fell to the ground. I kept coughing, as Joel looked at me in shock.

"Bigby!" Clementine yelled, probably surprised I was alive. I looked at her. Poisoned and filled with rocks. In one day. I could figure out that Clementine was mad at Joel. And Clementine, she seemed happy to see me. Does she...care about me? I figured out, the only way to get the rocks out of my stomach, was to cough them up. He had put big enough stones for me in my human form to not get them out, but others? I shifted, and the pain recoded. I saw some of the people back away. They were still scared of me. I retched, and the rocks came out and splashed into the water. I spit to try to get the taste of dirt out of my mouth. I went back to normal. I looked at Joel. I glared at him, and he shivered a little.

CLEMENTINE P.O.V

I was shocked. Jodie jumped a little as he looked in Joel's direction.

"Bigby, just calm down." I said. He looked at me. He closed his eyes. Then he shifted back into his human form.

"Sorry." He said.

"But what the hell were you thinking? God, Joel. You're a f****** idiot!" He was pissed. My eyes widened. I remember when I was little, and whenever Lee swore, I would say 'swear', but things are different now. Alot different.

"Bigby!" I said.

"Clem, please just let me handle this." He said.

"No. The last time you tried to 'handle' something, you went on a rampage. And look where that got you." I said firmly. He just grunted.

JODIE P.O.V

Clementine was still in my arms. It was becoming dark, and fast.

"Hey, lets not argue. We need to find shelter." I said.

"I know a place. Lee and I found it." Clementine said.

"Were? When?" I asked.

"It was when Bigby was going crazy. Its in the woods.... I don't know exactly where though...." Clementine said.

"Then lets go." I said. I stood up. Clementine brushed herself off. She toppled a little bit trying to regain balance. I quickly caught her as she was about to fall.

"Woah, take it easy. You got a nasty cut on your forehead." I said. Clementine was leaning in my arms.

"Oh." She said.

"Alright, lets go." I said. Clementine pointed in the direction of where she thought the cave was. I picked her up and carried her in my arms. Everyone else followed.

"I can take her." Bigby said.

"No, I still don't trust you. Sorry." I said.

"Fine." Bigby snarled.
