Chapter 6: Plans

CLEMENTINE P.O.V

Someone grabbed my mouth and pulled me to the ground. Whats going on?! I screamed but it came out as a muffled noise. I stared up at the person or walker that grabbed me. My eyebrows rose in worry.

"Shhh" The man said. He had a deep, scratchy voice. He had a mustache and a brown coat with a fur lining. I looked to my right, he had two men and a woman holding guns with him. Oh no...

"Hello there." He started, "My name's Carver, this's Troy, Vince, and Bonnie. Now, we were just walking through the woods, on our way back from hunting and, we saw you. We decided to sneak up on ya instead of announcing were here because... we thought you might run away. We wouldn't want that, would we now?" The man was trying to convince me, but I'm not stupid.

"We're going to take you to our camp, and when I take my hand off your mouth, I don't want you to scream... alright?" But as soon as he lifted his hand from my mouth... I screamed as loud as I could.

ELLIE P.O.V

"Well... honestly I don't know... But, I CAN tell you about this place, I guess..." I sighed.

"So our world was overrun with this fungus outbreak kinda thing... It spread from country to country, state to state, city to city... person to person... Its disgusting, it turns them into these mushroom head things. Theres a bunch of different kinds though, theres Clickers who are blind but see with their ears, they make clicking noises which are really creepy. So if you hear clicking, be quiet, and get the hell out of there! Then theres these big, fat, slimy, mushroom things, nothing to say about them except for they are really hard to kill, and smell like s***. Anyway we've all been trying to end this disease and... here we are..." I finished.

" Tell me about you." I said.

BIGBY P.O.V

I jolted out of my confusion as I heard clementines scream. I ran to where the scream was, using my advanced hearing to find her.

JOEL P.O.V

I held my breath and dashed down the corner. I dashed down the hallway. I looked out a window. I was on the fourth floor. Then I saw it. The things were crawling down up the building. They were crawling up the flipping building! All the doors were blocked. I knew what I had to do. I backed up. I braced myself, and ran straight at the window. I jumped into a fetal position and crashed through the window. The air whistled around me as I fell. Suddenly, a big black shape hit me, and I got moved and then I hit the ground.

JODIE P.O.V

"Oh, wow. Well... I'm sorry to hear that." Snow said. I sighed and looked at the ground. We sat in silence for a minute.

"Alright well Its getting late." She looked at the clock. "Holy cow! Its a quarter to 12! Alright, let me show you to your room." Snow said standing up and reaching out for my hand. I took her hand and she helped me up off the sofa. We walked down the hallway to the elevator.

"Thank you." I said.

"Its the least I can do." Snow replied. We got off the elevator and I followed her down the hallway to my room. The door she stopped at was Room 101. She opened the door with a key card. We went inside and she handed me the card.

"Ok so I'll give you some time to get settled in. You're welcome to stay here as long as you want. But at first light today, we need to figure what the hell is going on with the magical portals appearing out of no where." Snow said. I looked at the alarm clock. It read 12:01. Great.

"Thank you, again. Maybe Aiden can help out with the portals... I don't know. Maybe." I said.

"Alright, well. Get some sleep. You need it." Snow said walking out the door. I groaned jumping into bed, remembering the fall I took today. Thats gonna leave a bruise.

LEE P.O.V

"Well. I used to be a english professor at a college down in Savanna. But then, I did some, bad things. Then I met clementine. She was in first grade at the time. I became her guardian, after we found out her parents had turned. But around that time I was bit. She left me there, handcuffed to the radiator. I thought I had died. But I didnt. I survived the bite."

ELLIE P.O.V

Lee finished speaking.

"Where's Clementine now?" I asked. Lee looked at me with a saddened expression.

"Well... We were walking through the forest when this portal appeared out of no were. I got sucked in and... I don't know where she is... Shes only 11... I'm scared for her. I hope she found a safe place to hide." Lee said.

"Wow... I hope Joel's still alive... " I said. We sat in silence for a moment then I spoke.

"We need to find shelter somewhere before night fall... And I think we need to come up with some sort of plan to find our friends."

"Yeah. Okay." Lee said. We set off for the road.
