Kim walked back to her seat, Lewis lagging behind. He looked sloppy and confused. Hannah attmepted to kiss him on the cheek but he seemed like he was ignoring her.

"Lew?"

"Yu- yeah?" He squeaked, his voice was shaky and broken.

"What's up with him?" Hannah asked, leaning forward to see Kim. She shrugged and returned to the movie.

Once the movie was over, Hannah and Lewis drove home and Kim got a taxi. Multiple times Hannah caught Lewis not focusing on the road, daydreaming.

"You sure you're alright to drive mate?"

Lewis turned to look at Hannah, shook his head and began crying into his jumper sleeve.

What the bugger? Hannah thought.

He sunk into his seat as Hannah put her arms around him.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong love?" Hannah quickly became concerned and decided that she would drive. They swapped seats, Hannah found this unpleasant due to the Lewis' seat being crowded by jaffa cake boxes.

God damn it Simon! She thought.

"Come on, what's wrong?"

"I... I did a terrible thing Hannah..." His voice trailed off as he leant against the window.

"I'm sure it wasn't that bad!" Hannah assured, rubbing his arm.

"It was."

Soon after they returned home to their apartment, Mr. Owls everywhere. This made Lewis smile slightly as he accidentally sat on one.

"You know I love you Lew?"

Lewis looked up at Hannah who stood before him.

Beautiful. He thought.

"I know you do." He smiled.

There was a long pause.

"...You gonna say it back?"

"Oh, yeh, of course." His voice trembled, "Love you too." He quickly added. Hannah walked off to put the kettle on, Lewis sat there. Tears soaked his sleeve and confusing thoughts of Kim swirled around in his head.

Why? What for? Revenge? That doesn't even make sense.

He started thinking about the kiss again, he couldn't take his mind of it.

I need to tell someone.

"I'm just popping out, I'll be back by ten!" Lewis shouted to the kitchen. Quickly Hannah walked in, holding two mugs.

"But you just got-"

He had already left. Lewis quickly zipped up his coat and began walking to Simon's apartment.

I'll just say a girl kissed me, I don't have to say it was Kim! But, I kissed her back. why did I do that?! He thought, kicking the pavement.

"Alright pal?" Simon said cheerfully, pulling him into a hug. "I'll put the kettle on!"

"Thanks man." Lewis felt more comfortable with a guy friend, there was less chance of yet another kiss.

Well... It could happen...

They sat around Simon's glass coffee table, sipping tea and playfully mocking eachother for putting out their pinkie.

"So what brings you here?"

Lewis glugged his tea nervously. His hands started to become sweaty.

"Um, a girl, not Hannah, uh, kissed me and I need some, uh, guy advice?" His voice trailed off as he looked over at Simon. He looked very serious.

"Does Hannah know?"

Lewis shook his head, sweat going onto the table.

"Okay. Well I'm not really the ladies man am I but-"

"But you're my best friend. And I need you."

Simon sighed, sipping more tea and munching a jaffa cake.

"Well, did it feel right? Like Hannah?"

There was a long pause. Lewis sat there, silently, as if he was replaying the moment in his head.

"Y- yeah." He mumbled reluctantly.

"Then, just see how it goes. You're gonna have to tell Hannah some time though."

"I know. And I'm terrorfied."
