Katie pulled back, still holding Zoey's smooth skin as she stared at her, speechless. She slowly let her hands slide to the floor, swallowing hard. Immediately, she got to her feet and buried her head in her hands.

"Leave!" Katie exclaimed, reluctantly.

"Leave... Please." She softened, rummaging through memories in her head.

All the girls stood to their feet and gingerly left the room, taking their belongings with them. Zoey slipped from behind her and went along with the rest.
Am I overreacting? Katie thought as the girls (except Kim who was too sleepy to realise)  got changed into normal clothes in the bathroom.

"Zoey and Kaeyi, I'll drive you both home but you," Minty looked at Hannah. "And Kim, you live a little to far for me."

Kim kicked the ground, searching for a solution.

"No problem Anya, Lewis can pick me up and you can uh... ask Dunc." Hannah coughed, putting on her bag and going downstairs with Kim.

"Coolio!" Kaeyi smiled as the rest left too.

Just as they were about to leave the house, Zoey turned for a second and looked as far up the stairs as possible.

"Bye Katie..."

She paced the ground, sniffling. "Why the hell did I do that? And why am I overacting so damn much!" Katie groaned, picking up her phone. She rang Chris (Trott).

"What's wrong babe?" He asnwered immediately, appearing to be in a good mood.

"Can you... Can you come home? Or, when are you?"

"Well, the little one was born a couple hours ago so an hour or two?"

"Your niece?" Katie smiled. "Okay, see you soon love."

"What happ-"

She hung up the phone, rubbing her forehead.

Hannah and Kim stood still in the driveway, not daring to go back inside and waved Minty, Kaeyi and Zoey goodbye. The cold air washed over them as they waited for their 'escorts' (as Kim had helpfully called them).

Kim shivered as Hannah looked at her and the air became more bitter.

Hannah outstretched her arm sympatheticly, letting Kim stand next to her. She put her arm around her, across her back and rubbed her right arm.

"They'll be here soon Quim, good old English weather." She chuckled, smiling at her.

Kim nodded, leaning closer.

At that moment, Hannah jerked away from her as Lewis' car arrived at the end of the drive.

"Come on love!" He called, opening the door expectantly.

"Coming! See you Quim, I'll text Dunc to hurry his butt up!"
She's so adorable. Hannah thought, walking to the car and climbing in, freezing.

"Is uh, Kim gonna be alright there?" Lewis said, waving out of the window.

"Yeah, Dunacn'll be there soon."

"Oh... okay."

Kim clutched her phone with her shaking hands, longing for any sign of Duncan. She rang him, giving up on waiting.

She bit here lip. "Seriously? Please leave a message after the beep." She imitated in a stupid voice. "Duncan, can you hurry up please? It's really cold and I... I miss you."

Minutes later, Kim's knight in a shining car arrived, embarrassed. He opened the door and looked at her, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Where have you been?" She half laughed as he quickly pecked her on the cheek.

"Um, I got caught up in something!" Duncan chuckled, helping her cold body into the car by her hand. "Let's go home 'ey?"

Kim nodded.

"So we'll go the long way round 'cuz it's..." Duncan stopped and raised his eyebrow, smiling.
She's so adorably stupid.

"Kim?"

"Yeah?" She replied, putting on her seatbelt.

"You're still in your PJs."

Kim looked down at herself for a second. Without warning, they both burst into laughter, looking like dorks.

"Oh my gosh! Why didn't anyone tell me!" Kim laughed, leaning into Duncan. Duncan ruffled her hair as Kim screwed up her face and drove.
