The Yogscast affair

Double-cross.

"Kim!" Duncan bellowed desperately, disturbing multiple recordings. "Kim!" He swung open her door, causing her to almost fall out of her chair.

"Woah Dunc is something wrong?!" Kim was panicked and clearly concerned. He showed her the text.

"What? I say that to all my friends!"

"I know but Charlie saw it and slapped me! She thinks I'm cheating on her with you!" He shouted, leaning forward to her. Kim looked appalled, but guilty.

I didn't know she'd slap him! I feel awful!

"I'm so sorry Dunc! I didn't know she'd react like that! Why wouldn't I say ly to a person I love?"

"And another thing- ...wait what?"

Kim smiled up at him, her eyes looking sorry as she gazed into his.

This woman could break any man. Thought Duncan, caught up in the moment.

"But... but... Charlie."

She stood on her tip toes and placed her finger against his mouth, shushing him. She smiled again, he smiled back, blushing.

"See you later, flux buddy." Kim slid her finger from his his lips to his hair and ran her fingers through his blonde locks. She walked away, not looking back. Duncan peered out of the door, watching her just, walk away from the situation, still smiling.

"Ki- Kim..." He muttered to himself, still watching as he headed back to his office. He lifted off his glasses and rubbed his forehead.

"Duncan!" An excited voice came from behind, rushing up to him. He turned to see Sjin in a purple beanie and glasses.

"I saw you and Kim walk out of her office, did you guys talk? What did she say?"

There was a long pause before Duncan broke the silence. He wanted a believable answer but instead his answer was cracked and clearly untruthful.

"Uhh- um, uh she said it was all a misunderstanding and uh, that she'll talk to Charlie! yeah, um, yeah." He stuttered, embarrassed.

Sjin didn't look happy with his answer but accepted it, he needed to get on with recording Sjindie Games. He was about to walk off when Duncan grasped his arm.

"Did you uh, find out what was up with Lewis?"

Sjin shook his head. "Maybe you could pop round his and have a talk, I don't think Charlie is gonna forgive you straight away anyway so I'd think it's best if you stayed out of the house for a bit."

"Yeah, I guess, uh, thanks Sjin."Duncan sighed, waving Sjin goodbye.

Shit. I'm acting as distracted as Lewis. Maybe I really should talk to him, about what's up with him and talk about what Kim said to me too. Maybe not, I don't know anymore! He thought, slamming his mouse onto his desk.

*Buzz* *Buzz*

"Charlie?" He smiled, scrolling through their messages. His smile quickly faded from his bright red face.

Sjin quickly texted me to talk to you about Kim. It better be good. -C

"For God's sake Sjin." Duncan whispered typing back:

Kim says ly to everyone, I promise. It's just her being friendly, even ask Sjin! I would never cheat on such a perfect girl like you. I've (somehow) got you, what more could I want? : ) xx -D

He rubbed his forehead, sighing. He hated lying, especially to someone he was so close to.

"I'm not lying, I do love her. But I also love Kim, it's been like that for months, that was clear. But, nothing has ever happened untill now. And Charlie's fricking stuck in the middle of it. Fuck."

Don't you sweet talk me. I'm giving you one more chance, just because I love you, okay? -C

Okay, thanks babe. I'm gonna be home late though because I need to talk to Lew x -D

"Fuck me, seriously." He breathed, spinning on his chair. "I hate this, I can't cheat on Charlie because this is how she'll react! For real though! And I really do love and care about her!" He ran his fingers through his hair, his face turning red.

"...Well." He sighed, his hands almost shaking. He swallowed hard.
