The day before.

"Where are you driving me Hannah?"

"Don't worry Kim."

"And why did you tell me to dress all posh?" She laughed.

"Don't worry." Hannah hissed seriously again, the loud engine of the car droning out Kim as she sat in the back seat moaning. The two drove in silence for the rest of the drive, no radio, no voices, no anything.

"Why are you dressed nicely? Are you gonna stay there too?" Kim whispered, watching as Hannah rolled her eyes.

She sighed. "Duncan'll be there too."

Kim froze.
The hell? Last time I saw Duncan was through the window of a pub, drowning his sorrows in alcohol. She thought.

"He won't hurt you. There'll be pol-"

"Police?!" Kim screeched cutting her off and leaning forward between the gap in the seats.

"No, no! I meant people!" She mustered desperately,  breathing a sigh of relief.
Why did Simon have to call 'em? We could have sorted this ourselves! ...What am I saying, it was murder and abuse! We only deal with that in video games! Hannah thought, gazing out onto the far road.

The car stopped.

"Hannah where are we?" Kim mumbled turning to her, confused. Hannah turned to Kim, sympathy in her eyes. Kim felt so small, like the world was swallowing her up.

"I'm so sorry Kim." Hannah whispered, staring into her sad eyes. A single tear slid across her cheek but she quickly wiped it away with the back of her sleeve. She clambered out of the car and opened Kim's door, expectantly.

Kim sat still for a few seconds, taking in her alien surroundings.

"Come on Kim."

"I... I don't think I want to." Kim mumbled, keeping her gaze fixed on the gravel road.

"Please, don't make this any harder than it is." Hannah urged, tugging on her slightly as she stood up. Hannah closed the door behind her and locked the car. She walked on ahead, her head held high, masking her anxiety.

"Make what harder?" Kim called, racing to her side.

"Fine. This is court Kim. Simon called the police and Charlie's mum was tol-"

"Simon did what?!" She exclaimed immediately, her jaw dropping and eyes becoming glassy. Her stomach churned at the thought of Simon, her friend, encouraging an awful fate for her.

Hannah cleared her throat. "And Charlie's mum was told. She's pressing charges." She finished, inhaling deeply.

"Hannah I could go to prison! I could be locked up! I'll lose my youtube channel! My job! I'll lose Duncan! I'll lose everything!" Kim cried dramatically, her words jumbled and panicked.

"I know..."

Author's note:
Sorry for short chapter, I wanted a cliffhanger! :) So, who do you think should win the case, Kim or Duncan (and Charlie's mum)? And should the abuse from Duncan towards the other get involved? Opinions people! Love ya'll! <3
