Duncan sat alone in the office, waiting for the rest of the family to arrive. They said he wouldn't be alone, Kim promised.
"Christmas was Charli's favourite time of year..." He whispered to himself, his voice breaking. A tear rolled down his cheek.
"I miss her." He sipped his eggnog, reluctantly.
"I... I need her." His hands began to shake as he clutched his mug and more tears painted his face.
