Y/N's POV
I was just chilling in my apartment watching the office laughing my ass off when it got interrupted by a breaking news story. "BREAKING NEWS!! Strong winds have been reported in the Jefferson county area. This is a high sign of severe thunderstorms so be safe and be prepared". Oh fuck no! I'm deeply terrified of thunderstorms. Ever since I was 6 years old. Me and my mom were walking down the sidewalk on our way home when it was raining really hard. Then a strike of lightning struck right by me. If I had gotten hit, I could've been paralyzed from the bottom down, my mom said. So since then, I've been traumatized by lightning and thunder afraid of what could've happened 14 years ago. I quickly grabbed my phone and my fluffy blanket and wrapped myself in it. "Ok Y/N, just calm down. You're inside your apartment. Nothing's gonna happen". Then a strike of lightning struck right by the window. I immediately started breaking down. I knew that I needed my boyfriend, Ethan.
Ethan's POV
"Grayson, that's a terrible idea. We are not going to recreate our old vines. They are so cringe". "Whatever dude, look I got to go. Kelsey is coming back from Wisconsin and I got to go pick her up." "Alright, talk to you later bro". Not even 2 seconds after I got done talking to Grayson, my girlfriend Y/N called me. "Hello?". "Ethan? Ethan, are you at home?". "Yeah, baby what's wrong? Why are you crying?". "Just please come over. I need you and please be careful", she cried as she hung up. I quickly grabbed my phone and keys and ran to my car.
10 minutes later...
I ran to her door and knocked aggressively. She opened the door and pulled me into her apartment. Her eyes were red and puffy and she was breathing really hard. "Hey baby, what's wrong?". "It started raining and- and then the lightning struck right by the window and- and", she couldn't even finish talking before she sunk into my chest and sobbed. "I'm sorry Ethan. I have a really big fear of thunderstorms. It's just really stupid". I looked at my beautiful girlfriend and cupped her face in my hands. "Hey, it's okay. It's not stupid. Everyone has their fears and yours just so happens to be thunderstorms. So, I'm gonna do everything in my power to make you comfortable and happy tonight", I said as I kissed her. She smiled into the kiss and hugged me really tight. Suddenly, thunder crashed really hard and Y/N hid in my chest. "It's okay Baby, I've got you".
