Lila, Lila, the skies will shine again;
And all the hurt inside your heart,
Will in no way be a part
Of the rainbow after the rain.
Lila, Lila, tomorrow the sun will rise;
Darkness only lasts a night,
And—even then, the stars will be your light,
Twinkling till sunrise.
Lila, Lila, the lilacs will bloom in May;
So why do you see a need to fret,
A growth that isn't ready yet?
Sing! Smile!—Sway! all of your worries away.
Lila, Lila, don't cry over fallen leaves
—Bask! in all the colors they make
—Laugh! as they all rattle and shake;
And understand: it's okay to fall or leave.
Lila, Lila—life is but a dance:
Full of twists; full of twirls;
And—Oh! so many wonderful whirls;
But best of all, if you fall, you get another chance.
