I dreamt of life with you,
Since the first time I could dream.
You are my one desire,
My rock and sparkling stream.I dreamt of true love's kiss,
Since the moment you pursed your lips:
Singing songs of love and bliss,
Removing my heart's eclipse.I firmly hold you in my arms;
I have no need to dream.
I simply close my grudging eyes,
Eager for sunlight's gleam. There is no need to dream.
Your love will not depart.
For isn't to dream, merely to seek,
A desire of the heart? My heart desires not!
A single dream or thought.
My reality is clarity,
And dreams are often naught. Can it not be insane,
To never dream again?
To taste November rain,
And love where it has been?
To dance under the sun,
With you, my only one.Can it not be wrong, I say,
To wish my undesired dreams-away?
But instead, to lay my head
Next to yours each day. That is what I wish for me:
Your love's reality.
And if my conscience is to dream,
It dreams of you and me.
