Chapter 9

After the servant dropped off my dress and shoes. After receiving placing the dress and shoes down I pick up my phone. I then press the second to last number saved.

"Safiya, what do I owe the pleasure of this call for?" The voice says on the other side

"Marcellus, I was wondering if you wanted to join me and my family at our party."

"Saf, I love you like you're my own sister but I can't I need to stay in Orleans."\

"I think the King of the Big Easy can come party with his family."

"I can't."

"Well least I tried."

"I think you should come and visit me soon. Seriously."

"I will soon, but I have to make sure that my family can actually exist in the same room without killing each other."

"Wait, hold the phone, do you mean that everyone is there?"

"Yes, Marcel. Bekah, me, Kol, Nik, Elijah, and Finn. Even my mother. The only one missing is my father, but I am sure you will be happy to know that my father is officially dead. Nik killed him.

"I don't whether to say I'm sorry or congrats."

"Either one."

"Hey Saf, I have to go. I am sorry that I can't come."

"I know. I will call you soon. Bye"

"Bye."

After hanging up, I jumped in the shower. I was surprised to find Kol sitting on my bed.

"What do you want Kol?" I say grabbing my dress and heading into the bathroom to change.

"I wanted to make sure you were good."

"And why wouldn't I be?" I say poking my head out.

"You are aware that we heard you and Elijah early, right?"

"You shouldn't listen to others conversations, brother," I say smacking him as I come out.

"Bloody hell, women! I forgot you hit hard," Kol chuckles.

"Do me a favor and zip me," I say turning.

"Turn around," Kol says rolling his eyes and zipping me up.

"Now, get out,"  I say smooth out my dress.

"Fine, see you at the gala."

"Bye, Kol," I say shoving him out of my room

I continued to get ready with my makeup and hair. I threw on the heels. I quickly grab spray some perfume and take a sip of glass bourbon. I was about to look in the mirror when a knock came from my door.

"Come in," I say.

"Safiya," Nik says walking in.

"Yes, Niklaus."

"I want to make sure you were coming, baby sister."

"Why wouldn't I?"

"Because my dear sister, I feel like if you could you would just stay in here forever, and read."

"True." I then see that he had a small box in his hand. "What's in the box?"

"A gift. For you, open it," Nik says passing it to
