After The Lie ✔️

Chap#18

Elaine's POV;

It has been over a week since the engagement party. Now a days I was busy with my office along with planning my wedding. I still haven't forgotten about what John said to me. I kind of feel bad. I feel guilty. Although he hasn't contacted me yet. Hopefully he has understood everything. Today I was trying out the wedding dresses. And then I saw this dress that looked perfect! And I knew it was the dress for me! I know that me happily planning my wedding was all fake and this whole marriage is a lie and that I would've gone with just any dress, but this dress has done nothing wrong and it deserves to be worn by me! So I bought it! At least now there's one good thing about this wedding and that is this dress!

I have met Atlas these past few days to plan our wedding. But mostly he's busy on his phone. So I end up choosing everything. Which then turns out to be a problem because he doesn't like what I choose.  To be honest, planning this wedding turned out to be such a hassle. I've got the deadline coming up at the office and then I've got to deal with this moody kid who doesn't even like anything!

It was lunch time and I meet with Claire and Tyler at the restaurant. After this we have to go meet the wedding planner to pick out the theme. Both have them have been such a help and I can't imagine having any better best friends than these two. Atlas didn't show up at lunch. He called Tyler and told him that he'd meet us at the wedding planner's office. As always, that guy is so busy. It almost makes me curious about what he does. Sometimes I think he's just uninterested in all of this and doesn't really want to take part. I get why he'd feel that way, but it wouldn't hurt to show up. I'm doing a favour to him just as much as he is doing a favour to me.

"Are you sure you guys really want to do this?" Tyler asked

"Do what?" I asked as I was busy eating the food

"Get married. It's all a lie." Claire said

"Listen, we've already gone too far that now it's too late to turn back. And even if I go back from all of this, John is still pursuing me. And I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get married to him. If not because of my father, then it will be because of guilt. I don't know what has gotten into him. The things he says, it makes me feel guilty and bad for rejecting him. Besides, we already made a deal. I promised Atlas I'd help him. Anyhow, enough about this." I said as I finished eating. I didn't want to talk about this as it would make me question my decision.

"Yeah we should go. We are getting late." Claire said

"What's the hurry?" I asked

"Atlas must be waiting." Tyler said

"That guy can wait. He seriously needs to learn to have patience." I said

"But we have an appointment with the wedding planner. We won't be able to meet her after today." Claire said which makes me stand up.

"Okay let's go." I said as I grab my purse

We reached the wedding planner's office by taxi and there was this amazing sports car standing outside. It was black matte in colour. I'm pretty sure it was a Lamborghini. This car was beautiful. I guess some rich person must be here too.

I then go inside and Atlas was already there.

"You guys are a bit late." He said
