Elaine's POV;
It has been a week since I told Atlas everything. Stephen still steals money and then makes me erase the evidence while asking for a copy of it. I tried finding out where he keeps the evidence and the only thing I found out was that he keeps it at his house but when I told this to Atlas and Mike, they both said that they've already looked there and he has taken it somewhere else.
Yesterday I found out that he keeps it at one of his bar that he owns, but Atlas told me he already checked there and there isn't anything over there. The only obvious place would be his office, but it's not there either because I know he takes those files with him when he leaves the office.I wish I could do more to help. But Atlas wouldn't let me. I don't get why he is so protective of me...although I have to admit I do kind of like it when he's like that.
As for Dylan, he went to jail for a night but was released. And even though he doesn't keep an eye on me, I still feel like there is someone watching me wherever I go.
That day I again snooped around a bit, and I found out some another bar type place where Stephen keeps the evidence. Now I would've told Mike and Atlas first just as they told me to, but this time I decided to confirm it first before I tell them.
So after my work was finished, I told Atlas that I was going to Jackson's place. I know I lied but I don't want to be useless by giving them wrong information.
I took a taxi and went to the bar whose name I learned about. The bar was weird. I've been to bars before but this one was really weird. Especially when there were people staring at me. I was told that Stephen would come to this place tonight, that's why I thought I'd see if he has the files with him or not and where does he keeps them.
After fifteen minutes of standing across the street where the bar was, I decided to go home. There are gangsters type people all around and a few of them looked scary and even the girls looked scary, and they were all smoking cigarettes or drinking or doing drugs.
I couldn't find a taxi so I walked. After half an hour of walking I was a bit away from that bar.
The street was all empty and there were no sign of any taxi. That's when I saw a bike at a fast speed come near me. It made a screeching sound as it stopped right in front of me. If this bike hadn't stopped, it would have hit me.I move a bit back as I don't know who it is. But then the guy riding it, takes his helmet off and that's when I know that it's Atlas. What is he doing here? He looks angry. He looks like he could kill someone.
"Oh god, Atlas I'm so sorry. I know you said-" I stopped talking as he suddenly hugs me.
What? My whole face went red at this. He caressed my hair and said, "You idiot! You scared me." His grip on me tightened"I'm sorry, I just wanted to get that evidence for you." I said
"What would've happen if Stephen caught you? Don't ever do this again. I told you, leave all this to me." He said as we were still hugging.
He then let's go of me, although he is still holding my hands. My heart was beating fast and my face was all red and as I looked at him, I realised he was also blushing."Let's go." He said as he then gets on the bike
"Thanks" I said as I got on.
The next day, I was working overtime and mostly everyone had gone home. I was going to Stephen's office to hand him the files. But he wasn't there. I couldn't see Dylan anywhere as well. So I looked around for them a bit until I heard someone arguing.
I went to the source of these voices when I saw Atlas, Mike, Stephen and Dylan.
They were all talking about something and I couldn't hear it all properly, but Atlas looked angry. What is going on? I kind of started eavesdropping as I didn't want to go there and interrupt. Also I wanted to hear what they were arguing about.
