The next day Claire sat next to Elaine instead of behind her which she did when she used to sit around her friends. She didn't glance even once at her now previous friends. Even though Sally was still angry along with her friends and wouldn't stop glaring at her. Jackson and Tyler also sat next to them.
Tyler wasn't angry at them anymore, on the contrary he said that yesterday was the most fun he ever had.
Before break time, Elaine, Claire, Tyler and Jackson would constantly find their things to be missing. Whether it was a book, stationary or even Jackson's hat went missing, so did Tyler's book that he was reading.
Claire couldn't take anymore of this. During break, she went to demand Sally to give them their things back.
"Huh! What are you talking about?"
"We didn't take anything."
"Why would we take your stupid little friends's stupid things?" Sally shrugged
"Take that back, my friends aren't stupid." Claire defended them
"Well they are stupid for being friends with someone like you." Sally crossed her arms and started chuckling, the rest of the group soon followed
"What did you just say?" Elaine overheard all of this, glared and hissed at Sally, who in return flinched
"You heard me. This all wouldn't be happening to you if you stopped being friends with Claire." Sally retorted. Claire started feeling guilty, she turned to her friends and said,
"I'm sorry you guys....this wouldn't be happe-" but before she could complete her sentence she got cut off by Jackson,
"Don't you apologise.""You have nothing to be sorry about because you did nothing wrong." Tyler spoke softly, Elaine nodded in agreement. Then looking at Sally she said,
"Things are meaningless. I don't care if you take everything. Things can't compare to the importance one has for another. If you think that by stealing our things you can make us not be friends, then you're wrong." Elaine spoke in a harsher tone
"Stealing? We didn't steal anything!" One of the boys said
"Dude, you're wearing my hat right now!" Jackson said snatching the hat back
"And that is Claire's pencil case, the one you borrowed and she has been asking for it back ever since." Tyler said pointing at the pencil case on the table
"No, it's not. It's mine. I bought it for myself." Sally protested
"Yeah. It's a coincidence, it's been with her for a few days now." A girl said
"That's because you refuse to give it back to her! You are a liar and a thief!" Elaine snapped
"So what? You gonna go to the principal's office now? That won't work. You're only gonna end up in trouble." Sally chuckled
"What I will do is take this back, like this." Claire said, taking the pencil case back
"What are you doing? It's mine now! I'll tell the Principal that you guys stole from me." Sally retorted
"First, there are people here as evidence." Tyler said
"Second, even if you do manage to convince the Principal, thanks to your mother, because you're completely hopeless without her. What's the worse that could happen?" Jackson remarked
"If you wanna do something, at-least do it without the help of your mother, otherwise that just means you're a loser and a nobody without her." Elaine shrugged
"And remember no matter what you do, you can never ever make someone do what you want. You want to break our friendship? Well try all you want, you won't be able to." Claire smirked. Sally grunted in return.
The four of them started walking away, out of the classroom.
"You know she can probably get us expelled." Tyler said
"I don't think she will. If she used her mother to help her get us kicked out, then that would mean she really is nothing without her mother." Elaine replied
"Yeah and that would be the worst thing for her because Sally has ego, she won't stand for that." Claire explained
"That was fun though! We really make great friends. What should be our group name?" Jackson inquired
"We are not making a gangster group, you know." Elaine said as everyone chuckled
"I know, I know. But oh how about the fantastic four?" Jackson grinned
"That name is already taken." Tyler shrugged
"How about three heroes and one idiot Jackson?" Elaine suggested, everyone laughed at her remark
"Very funny, but I don't think so. Besides, we should skip the naming idea." Jackson replied
"It was your idea to begin with." Claire retorted, "Oh, Elaine. How was your test today? I suddenly remember you said it was important for you to get an A."
"I got an A, but it doesn't matter now." She replied in a disappointing tone
"What happened?" Tyler asked
"Dad took my video games last night after hearing about my detention." She sighed
"Oh that's wrong, you have to explain it to him. We will help you!" Claire said
"It's fine, I already did, he said that it was still wrong of me to get angry at the Principal. I'll get my games back in two days, so it's really fine." Elaine explained
"I've got video games at my house...if you guys wanna come and..." Tyler spoke as Jackson cuts him off before he could finish,
"Oh really? Thanks! Let's go!"
"This is gonna be fun!"
"Yup!"
"I need to ask, what did your parents do after hearing about the detention?" Elaine questioned
"My mom hugged me and told me it's okay." Claire replied
"My father told me it's good I made some friends.." Tyler answered
"My mom didn't pick up the phone so she believes me. Didn't really say anything." Jackson responded
They talked while walking, their laughters roaring through the streets, giggled filled the air as that's how these four become such close friends that they became like family to each other and are still friends for all the years to come!
And that's it guys! This or should I say these were the next extra chapters. At the start, I didn't have any inspiration or some ideas so I had no idea what to write, but when I started writing, ideas kept pouring in and what once began as a single short chapter ended up being divided into four chapters based on the same plot-line.
Hope you guys enjoy reading this as much had I had fun writing this! 💖
