Moving On

I woke up to a phone call by Laraine telling me to wake up because she was going to be at my house in an hour. I went down stairs to force myself to eat something because I had no hunger. Tyler left to his mom's house early in the morning, as I looked up at they clock putting my cereal bowl in the sink, it was 10:03am and Laraine was going to be here in 45 minutes.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth and washed my face. As I looked at my reflection in the mirror, it was hard to imagine what it would be like without hair. As I kept thinking I wanted to cry, but I put my fuck cancer necklaces on and I knew I had to grow strength. I put on a "I ship us" teeshirt from fresh tops and some aberombie and fitch jeans. I rolled they jeans once at the bottom since they were a little long and slipped on my black Reef sandals. I also rolled up the sleeves of the tee shirt and looked through my beanies to see which one I wanted to use. I picked up the black kitty ear beanie because I liked it with my outfit.

Soon enough Laraine was at the door.

"You ready?" She said.

"More Ready than I'll ever be.." I said.

Laraine grabbed my hand. "lets go hun." I gave a little smile and we walked to the car.

The car ride there was painful. But I was going on and on about how I can't be this way... that it could be worse. I need to stay strong.

We arrived to the place faster than I wanted to and Laraine let me sit down and wait. She checked me in the hospital didn't feel like one, it reminded me of a teen hospital, teens trying to beat their illness and still live a normal life.

Laraine and a nurse began to walk up to me.

"Hi Lilly, I'm Nurse Kelly and I'll be UR main nurse here, let's show you to your room."

I thought that meant my treatment room but I didn't realize that meant my room I was going to have to stay in and sleep and love in.

"This will be home for you the next couple of days, and Lilly this is Indi your roomate." Nurse Kelly said

"Wait what! what do you mean roomate?!! I'm loving here?!?!? FOR HOW LONG!" I said

"Yes yes you are going to have to stay here for a while, but if treatment helps you can go back home , I promise within a month you will be home."

"A month, Laraine you didn't tell me this??" I questioned Laraine.

"I'm sorry honey I didn't know either until last night.."
I gave a large sigh and realized I had to just go with the flow.

"Let's go to that room of yours now.." The nurse said she wrapped her hand around my shoulder.
E-520 was my room and it was big and all to myself as the doctor told me. She let me put my stuff down and go pick out the decor and stuff for my room and or prison for the month. I guess target supplied bucket loads of this and then placed in a room. I walked into the room and pick every thing to little nic nacs. of course I got lights to hang and I got this really cute comforter. everything I picked out was placed into the room. soon after Nurse Kelly brought me into the hair solan area, I was really nervous and scared. the hair dresser was nice, and explained the process. She told my I wasn't going to totally have all my hair cut off, but it was going to be cut boy short. that was a good to hear, at least the process of kimo take away my hair in a longer amount of time. After my hair cut, I was shocked, I love what she did with my hair and I couldn't believe that all my hair was gone too. I had mixed emotions, so I just slipped on my Beanie and walked to my room.
Later that day, I went back to the house and gathered all my clothes and beanies and we took it back to the hospital.
As I was putting my stuff away, someone gave and gentle knock on the side of the door opening, I didn't have a door, I had windows, and a door way with no door. anyway, I turned to look and it was Tyler, Ally, and Jessi. Tyler was holding chipotle, Jessi was holding ice cream, and ally was holding a blanket and movies.

"We want be here for you, because we hope that even the little things will help." Ally said.

"I love you guys so much." I said as we just came in and had a huge bear hug.
The rest of the night, ally and jessi help be decorate my room and put all my stuff away, while tyler was sweet talking an intern nurse. oops I forgot to mention, olivia and Tyler broke up and Liv moved back to NorCal. Wes and Mo broke up as well, and mo moved to texas.. sad but true. After we put everything away for the rest of the night we watched movies and ate food and drank starbucks. I glad my true friends were always there for me.
And as the night ended I fell asleep telling myself. I don't care if you have cancer, live everyday as if it's your last, this isn't going to be that bad...
