After All Might retired, crime rates went up. Our world was overrun with villains. Many people died and businesses were robbed day and night. The heroes just couldn't fight them all. Until one day, they all just stopped.

No one knows what happened to the villains, nor do they know where they might be. Everyone was wary; confused at the sudden disappearance of crime.

They were all waiting for the day the villains would come back, and take down the heroes, leaving all the civilians utterly defenseless. They were all waiting for the day, the villains took over the world. But little did they know, villains weren't that far away.

"Midoriya! Midoriya!"

Izuku's eyes snapped open. "Huh? What?"

"Daydreaming in class again, Midoriya?" His english teacher asked. The class burst with laughter.

"Sorry!" Izuku's face turned bright red with embarrassment. He didn't sleep well the night before. His mind still running through the horrible nightmare he had last night.

Ring! Ring!

"That's the bell students. You're all dismissed." President Mic looked at Izuku. "And try to get more sleep Midoriya." Izuku nodded vigorously and grabbed his yellow backpack. His friends, Uraraka and Iida were waiting for him in the hall.

"Sleeping in class! Unacceptable!" Iida scolded, making weird hand gestures. Uraraka gave him a sympathetic look.

"He's must tired." Uraraka said. "I mean, we had a bunch of tests this week. He probably stayed up all night studying." She made a shy smile. "You look like you're going to fall off your feet, Deku." Izuku yawned.

"I can't sleep just yet," He replied. "I'm visiting my mom today." Izuku shifted uncomfortably. "Speaking of which, I should get going. She expects me to be there by dinner." He started toward the door.

"Ok then," Uraraka said. "Byeeee!" She and Iida waved goodbye to their friend.

After dinner~

"Oh, Izuku! You must be so tired!" Inko exclaimed. "I'm glad you can to see me, but if you're so sleep-deprived, you should have stayed at the school!" Izuku smiled at his worrying mother.

"No mom. It's fine." He assured her. "I wanted to see you! Plus, tomorrow is Saturday. I can sleep in." He set his dirty dishes in the sink and began to wash them. Inko stood up immediately and rushed to her son.

"No, no, Izuku!" She scolded, taking over the dish-washing. "You need to get some rest! Go back to your dorm. You can see me some other day." Izuku wanted to argue, but he was so tired that he agreed.

"Ok mom." Izuku said, grabbing his bag. "I'll see you tomorrow then." He gave his mother a peck on the cheek and opened the door to leave. A rush of cool air swept past him. He paused, only to smile at his hard-working mother, stepped out of the house, shutting the door behind him.

The walk to the school from the train station wasn't far. Although Izuku passed several alleyways along the way. It was almost midnight, no one was out. The only sound that could be heard, was the sound of his footsteps echoing down the street, and the chirps of cicadas.

Izuku shivered as he thought of his reoccurring nightmare. He stopped suddenly.

'What was that?' He waited, listening. There it was again. It was quiet, but Izuku still heard it. Someone was following him.

He sped up, slowly at first. Until soon he was running. In a panic, he turned a corner too soon, finding himself at a dead end. He turned around, backing up until his back was pressed against the wall. There was a pile of boxes in front of him that Izuku quickly hid behind.

He heard the sound again. Footsteps. Getting closer and closer. A voice that sounded like bells pierced the silence.

"I know you're here!" It was the voice of a woman. "You can't hide from me! I can hear your breath!" Isuku tried slowing his breathing.

More footsteps. Farther away this time. 'Was she leaving?' Izuku peeked over the pile of boxes. The alley was empty. No sign that the woman had ever been there. Izuku breathed a sigh of relief and stood up.

"Found you!" The woman jumped out of nowhere and pounced on Izuku, pinning him to the ground. His head hit hard against the concrete.

"I told you I'd find you! My first snack of the night!" She said smiling viciously. Fangs, she had fangs. Izuku struggled against her, the world seemed to spin. 'That means her quirk must be-'

The woman suddenly lunged for his throat. She bit hard, drawing blood. Sucking blood, in fact.

"Gah!" Izuku's vision went blurry. He tried to scream, but the woman covered his mouth. "We can't have that, now can we?" She whispered in his ear with a giggle. "Yes, you'll do just fine." She bit again. Sucking the life out of him.

In all the pain, Izuku's vision went black.

Izuku opened his eyes to burning. The woman was gone. He groaned and clutched his stomach. The pain was so intense, but he had to keep quiet. He feared it might attract some bad people.

He didn't know how long he'd been lying there. All Izuku knew was he had to get to the school.

He put his hands on the ground pushing himself up. They came back wet. There was something dark on the ground. He head was spinning, his vision clouded with pain. He took a few steps forward, out of the alley.

It took a bit longer to get to the school, but he made it. Isuku walked the dark, empty halls of the school, wondering where he should go. Recovery girl would be asleep, so he went to his dorm. Once inside, he set his backpack down.

Izuku winced at the sudden pain in his neck. His hand moved up to touch his neck. When he removed it, his fingers were wet with blood.

Pain flared throughout his body. He suddenly got cold, really cold. The pain was too much, he collapsed on the ground. His vision went black once more.

By the time he regained consciousness again, it was early morning. The fire was in his throat this time. Burning. Burning. Burning. But he was so cold. Freezing and burning.

Izuku stumbled to a mirror and noticed something different. Then it hit him. 'What have I become?'
