I made up my mind in a split second and I ran back to my room. I started packing my things. I didn't bother packing frilly dresses or clothes that are hard to move in. And I started wearing some gloves to hide my mark. I snuck into the royal treasury and got some jewels, the current money of Etheria.
I grabbed my combat clothes, and started heading for the entrance. It was hard not to be seen, but I managed, until I reached my destination
Then I saw a figure by the entrance. She wore her own packed bag and looked like she was waiting for someone. Then she turned around. It was Chelsy.
"Chelsy... what are you doing here?"
"Your... father sent me. He knew you were going to attempt to run away, so he sent me to protect you." - I released a deep breath I didn't realize I was holding. At least one parent understood - "And I already know about your... unusual element." I looked at her. Even if she was a amazing hand to hand fighter, no element would surely stop her from really trying to fight.
She noticed my expression. "I suppose I should tell you, I'm not actually a human, I just cover my mark. I have the water mark."
She takes off her wig to reveal ocean blue hair. She takes off her own gloves so I could see her mark. It was a crimson red raindrop, the blood mark. She was slightly smiling, and it was a great tactical strategy, but I knew that there was more to hiding her mark. She was a water mage living in the light kingdom, she would be attacked all the time. Especially since she was a blood mage. They had... bad reputations.
She would never have peace either way, but she had to cut her losses.
"Uh, we should go now." She nods and walks out the door.
"Come on!"

We had just reached the outskirts of the city when it had gotten dark."We can set up camp here. Aren't we glad that we stopped by that store?"
"The store that delayed us by 10 minutes because you couldn't pick what color blue you wanted?" She scoffs
"I liked both of them, gods!"
"And that's why I got you a turquoise one. Light blue and dark blue were both nice, but 10 minutes?" She sighs and starts putting up her tent, as do I.
"Do you hear that?" I turned around. We both heard footsteps.
"Get ready." We both get into a battle stance.
"The second we get a close look of them, attack." Then Thanatos appeared.
"Chelsy, wait!" He immediately got blasted by a water stream.
"Ow.... you got good water skills."
"Uh, he's my... he's someone I know." She looks at me then at Thanatos.
"But he... tried to sneak up on us. Like a creepy dark person!" I almost laugh.
"Uh, nice creepy dark person."
"I am right here!" I help him up.
"Chelsy, Thanatos. Thanatos, Chelsy."
They both grumble, "Hello." I smile at them.
"So, what the hell are you doing here?"
"I should be asking you that. What's a princess doing in a forest. I thought she kidnapped you!" We look at each other then at Thanatos.
"So you didn't see us in a store for 10 minutes?" We said that at the same time, which both shocked him and confused him.
"Uh, creepy.... but well... to be honest I did? I just wanted to say hello." We look at each other again.
"You wanted to just say hello!?"
"Well, yeah. But, what are you doing here?"
"I.... ran away." He looks at me in shock.
"Why would a princess run away?"
Chelsy mouths, "No." But I take off my gloves anyways.
"I-is that your mark?"
"By the gods, Luna." Chelsy smacks my arm.
"Ow!" I try to hit her back, but the expression on her face told me otherwise.
"I thought you were one of the smarter princesses." I didn't understand why she seemed so wary of Thanatos. Because he was a darkness mage? That wouldn't make very sense, she was a blood mage. Because he snuck up on us? I already said I knew him, and he was just curious. Maybe because he was a guy?
"Uh, thank you?" I turn my attention back to Thanatos. "So, uh. This is my mark."
"It's not a moon mark, is it?" He narrows his eyes.
"No, although that probably means you don't have it either, right?" He shakes his head no.
"Just a regular ol' darkness mage. But enough of that, what is it?"
"You won't believe me."
"I still don't believe it."
"Well... it's a... it doesn't exactly have a name." I fiddle around with my hair, although I wasn't exactly used to it being black and white.
"It doesn't have a name? Every mark has a name, the names are very generic!" Thanatos looked scared almost.
"Well... uh... it's not very generic. It's... Ihaveeveryelementandbranch." I quickly blurt it out. Chelsy smacks her forehead while Thanatos looked very confused
"Repeat that for me? I think you just said you had every element and branch." He had a specific emphasis on every.
"Well... good news? You don't have bad hearing. Bad news..." I twirl my hand around, trying to muster the words out again
"YOU WHAT?" I slightly shrug, embarrassed
"Surprise?" He grabs my shoulders and starts shaking me back and forth
"You could potentially be the strongest mage in all of time! In all of Etheria! Of... ETHERIA AND THE FAR CONTINENT!"
"You actually believe in the far continent?" Chelsy rolls her eyes
"Is that really what you're worried about?" Thanatos snaps to Chelsy and she got slightly surprised.
"Eh. That just means I know the strongest mage in Etheria." She does finger blasts at us. (Finger guns)
"Does your family have this magic? Where did you get this magic? Did the gods give you this? Can I get this?" I get his hands off my shoulders
"Uh... well I know of one family member that also has this-"
"WHAT?"
"Whot?"They both said it at the same time, which I found funny. I wisely decided to keep that to myself though.
"What would you say if I said you wouldn't believe me?"
"I would literally smack you with a rock." Thanatos glares at me
"I don't want to see if you would actually do that... uh. My grandfather... had it."
"And he is...?"
"Uh... not that well known. Died before I could meet him. He's just... Lu- he's Luuuuuuuccccc... does it matter?"
"Apparently. Spill!"
"Luuuuuuuccccccciiiiiiiiiiffffffffeeeeeerrrrrrr?"
"What?"
"Lucifer! My grandfather is Lucifer!" I sigh.
"YOU'RE WHAT?" I shrink away from them, but I felt a sharp point on my neck and looked at Chelsy.
"You have explanations we need, now." The ice spear drew a little dot of blood on me.
