This is the first (and probably only) major plot point to veer off from the main story.

"Right! We have no supplies, barely any money, and no adult supervision." I look around at my friends. "How the hell did this happen?"

"Poor." Chelsy hummed.

"Wasn't prepared." Thanatos shrugged.

"Uh... you know." Dani polished his staff.

"No, we're changing this. In fact, I have a plan!" I stuck a finger up in the air as a show of determination.

"The last time we followed your plan, we ended up here." Chelsy's voice was laced with venom. "And this place sucks."

"Wait, but isn't this-" I quickly interrupt Dani.

"I have a better plan! We're going to Aurora!" I slam a fist into the palm of my hand, ready to go.

"This should be fun." Dani's staff disappears from his hand and he softly grazes his sword with the other. "Nature beats wind after all."

~~~
Lore delve in:
Fire beats nature, but isn't as effective against rock. You can almost think of the branch as a separate element.
Nature beats water, but water beats rock. Again, almost separate.
Nature and rock beat wind.
Nature is often regarded as one of the strongest and weakest elements since they have a lot of versatility, but can get absolutely destroyed by fire. The only other element(s) that are slightly similar are darkness and light. Darkness is not weaker than light and vise versa. They are equals.
Second, a lot of elements can overlap. Like fire's branch is lightning, which can fall into the wind's branch of weather. Lightning mages can use the lightning/thunder that a weather mage can and vise versa.
Water can control anything that has water in it, including plants and rocks, although it's more moving than control.
Although, some water mages can use ice, which can fall into the weather category as well.
Light mages can technically use the light that the moon gives off and darkness mages can use the shadows that light brings.
Lastly, there are human mages, although they don't have elements. All kinds of magic exist on Etheria, but elements are the most common. Other kinds of mages are rare.
Alright, back to the story!
It was a short walk, although it seemed even shorter when we approached a mountain. Chelsy made a grumbling sound before making an ice pillar that shot us into the sky. Before we hit the mountain ground, however, Dani made a plant slide, made out white flowers only found at the very peak of mountains. Rumors said that if someone gave you one of these flowers, you two were soulmates.
Luckily, none of us did anything of the sort. Unless you count Chelsy throwing a handful of them at our faces.
At the very end of the slide, we were once again thrown into the air. Everyone landed gracefully... except for me.
Yay.
Luckily, no bones broke or anything. I just brushed myself off and looked around. It was an urban kind of town. It was bigger than Dani's, but it wasn't very big either. The houses looked fairly modern, like they could've been built in the capitol. However, they were downtrodden.
"There's no one here. It's quiet... too quiet." Chelsy scanned the area. "Where is everyone?"
"There's someone here. A... girl? They have long hair at least." Dani stomped his foot into the dirt.
Something kicked into me when he did that though. It was like my senses heightened? Or... I could just feel everything on the ground. Every blade of grass, all the trees. I feel my friends and I felt the girl Dani was talking about.
"Weather mage." I breathe out. "They're a weather mage."
"How do you know that?" Chelsy turns around to see me and her face falls. "For gods' sake, stop changing your hair!"
I grab a few strands of hair to look. It was green and white. Air kingdom and plant magic, who could've guessed?
"Oh, uh... whoops?" The green starts to fade as my senses also go back to normal. The white stays though.
"Gods, I'm never going to get used to my stupid mark. You would think having all the elements would make your life easier!" I sigh.
"Erm, what the fuck?" We freeze.
"Uh... hi?"
