The Eclipse Mark

Chapter 35

This new world was strange, at first. We quickly realized that it wasn't that different. There was just no magic.
They had things that could very well be magic, for we had nothing like it.
Technology is a strange thing, but it is remarkable.
Anyways, we stuck together for about a year before we went our separate ways.
Dani and Breeze wanted to explore this new world, although they promised to visit.
Chelsy wanted to be alone for a while, she also promised to visit.
That just left me and Noah.

Tears brimmed the eyes of young woman as she wrote in a little book. Her hand shook as she remembers, remembers everything.
It had been four years since she had allowed herself to cry.
But it hurt so much.
A man with blond hair and a sun mark on his hand walks in and hugs her. They share no words but he knows why she is crying.
"We don't know if he's gone. Have hope."
"I don't know if I can."
He wipes the tears off her face and makes her stand up.
"The others are coming today, come on. Cheer up a little."
"I will, just give me a moment."
She fiddles around with the ring on her finger as she slowly tries to calm down.
You can do this. You can finish this.
She continues writing in her book until she finally thinks it's done.
She labels it "The Eclipse Mark" and sets it down.

"Thanatos, if you're dead, then I'll write you as a hero. You stupid idiot."

She walks out of the room and starts greating her friends. They shared stories and laughed but they knew something was missing. The darkness mage that they all loved. But... they didn't know where he was now.

"We have a kid."
Everyone turns to Dani and Breeze.
"What?"
"We know that we're kinda young but we got drunk one night and blah blah blah."
Dani rubbed his head as Breeze looked down.
"..."
"Congratulations!"
They started bombarding them with questions before Breeze does a spell and a baby appears.
"Cloaking spell? Really?"
It looked to be around 10 months old and already knew how to walk.
Which made the hosts have to quickly baby proof everything.
"What's it's name?"
"Samara. Sam for short."
