I made up my mind in a split second and I ran back to my room. I started packing my things. I didn't bother packing frilly dresses or clothes that are hard to move in. And I started wearing some gloves to hide my mark. I snuck into the royal treasury and got some jewels, the current money of Etheria.

I grabbed my combat clothes, and started heading for the entrance. It was hard not to be seen, but I managed, until I reached my destination

Then I saw a figure by the entrance. She wore her own packed bag and looked like she was waiting for someone. Then she turned around. It was Chelsy.

"Chelsy... what are you doing here?"

"Your... father sent me. He knew you were going to attempt to run away, so he sent me to protect you." - I released a deep breath I didn't realize I was holding. At least one parent understood - "And I already know about your... unusual element." I look at her. Even if she was a amazing hand to hand fighter, no element would surely stop her from really trying to fight.

She noticed my expression. "I suppose I should tell you, I'm not actually a human, I just cover my mark. My element is water."

She takes off her wig to reveal ocean blue hair. She takes off her own gloves so I could see her mark. It was a crimson red raindrop, the blood mark. She was slightly smiling, and it probably was a great tactical strategy, but I knew that there was more to hiding her mark. She was a water mage living in the light kingdom, she would be attacked all the time. Especially since she was a blood mage. They had... bad reputations.

She would never have peace either way, but she had to cut her losses.

"Uh, we should go now." She nodded and walked out the door.

"Come on!"

We had just reached the outskirts of the city when it had gotten dark.

"We can set up camp here. Aren't we glad that we stopped by that store?"

"The store that delayed us by 10 minutes because you couldn't pick what color blue you wanted?" She scoffs

"I liked both of them, gods!"

"And that's why I got you a turquoise one. Light blue and dark blue were both nice, but 10 minutes?" She sighs and starts putting up her tent, as do I.

"Do you hear that?" I turned around. We both heard footsteps.

"Get ready." We both get into a battle stance.

"The second we get a close look of them, attack." Then Thanatos appeared.

"Chelsy, wait!" He immediately got blasted by a water stream.

"Ow.... you got good water skills."

"Uh, he's my... he's someone I know." She looks at me then at Thanatos.

"But he... tried to sneak up on us. Like a creepy dark person!" I almost laugh.

"Uh, nice creepy dark person."

"I am right here!" I help him up.

"Chelsy, Thanatos. Thanatos, Chelsy."
