days after my birthday, i sent a package for you containing my christmas gifts because it takes a month for the package to be delivered to your home.

that day, you were talking about a surprise for me when i chatted you and i knew it was gonna be a package full of gifts again. i didn't tell you that i already prepared and sent a package to korea. it's a surprise, so why will i tell you?

the remaining days before christmas of 2011, i was busy studying hangul because i wanted to write a letter for you in hangul. your birthday is gonna be in three months and i want to be able to understand korean by that time, hopefully.

learning hangul was easy, but learning your language was hard. i barely understood sentences and i can't even make a complete sentence except for "안녕하세요. [hello.]", "잘 지냈어요? [how are you?]" and some of the basics.

plus, i have been studying, learning, and finding out what you have written on the notebook you gave me on my birthday. it was all essays, and i believe those were letters for me.

i had a hard time reading your letters that i looked like a 3-year-old reading vocabularies.

i tried to google translate but it gave me wrong translations. at first, i thought it was accurate but when i showed you the translation, you just laughed and said that it's not what you meant. i was frustrated because i've been dying to understand your letter but i just don't understand.

why do you have to write in korean in the first place when i am not even a native speaker? beomgyu, you gave me a hard time on that part. i keep reading and reading but i don't understand, beomgyu.
