Well me and Cole are ditching the first half of school. We have two do the first two trials. The snake and the rules.
We were walking to the bar going over the rules. The vipers own this bar basically. The Blackhole.
We soon walked in and Peter walked to us. He brought us to the middle. "You will both be doing different trials at once. Leigh, you will be retrieving the knife and the gold coin first. Cole, you will be saying the rules." Peter Said.
"I'm Tina Grey, I'll be watching and helping you." She said. I nodded. She brought me to a tank. "Reach your hand in and retrieve the knife and gold coin." She said.
Alls I heard was yelling from the other members. I rolled my sleeve up and reached my hand in at an average speed.
I felt the snakes fangs sink into my wrist but, I continued reaching for the knife and gold coin until I had it. Then I put the items in my other hand and set it down.
I have a thing for snake. I pulled on the little guys head a bit to retract its fangs and it did. It wrapped around my arm loosely and I gently stroked its back.
"Wow, Viper hasn't done that since his owner. He died awhile back ago. Peter she passed the trial but, I think viper really likes her." Tina called.
Everyone turned to me and looked shocked. "You aren't scared." A guy said. "I have a thing for snakes." I said. "Well switch. Cole passed his trial." Peter Said while staring shocked at me and the snake. I gently placed the snake back in the tank.
"Would you?" Tina Asked motioning to the knife and coin. I nodded. I grabbed them both and placed them back in their normal spots.
Then I walked to where Cole was. "What are the five rules?" Peter Asked. "Rule one, no viper left behind. Rule two, never betray family. Rule three, always stick together. Rule four, always wear your jackets in public. Rule five, never sell drugs." I said unfazed of the yelling.
"Peter. Cole passed." I heard Tina yell. "Leigh passed. Bandage them up." Peter Said while slinging his arm over my shoulder.
"They expect the dance to be in about a week but, a rule is to always surprise them. Tonight. The dance." He said quietly. "Alright." I said.
"He did not want to let go of Cole." Tina chuckled. She just finished wrapping Coles hand. She grabbed mine and cleaned it out before wrapping it. I went to see viper.
He instantly trained his eyes on me. I put my hand in and stroked his back again before pulling my hand out. I found Peter.
"I'm going to try and finish school up. See you tonight." I said. He nodded and gave me a hug. Cole
Followed me out.I was wrapping my other hand with the gals I brought from home to keep the crescent marks hidden too.
"We did it." Cole said. "Two of the three trials. Your trial is going to be unexpected. I know when mine takes place." I said.
"Shit. That sucks. Well. I better be careful. Or at least prep for the impact. Promise to take an easy on me if you get in before I do?" He asked.
"The easiest I can go without causing suspicions." I said. He nodded and we laced our hands together. When we got to school, it was lunch time. Me and Cole collected our work before getting lunch and going outside.
We sat with Violet, Katie, and Austin. "Where have you two been?" Violet Asked. "Around town. I needed to think anyway. I might bring track back. Well try. I have an idea but, I'm pretty sure it might involve a speech." I said.
"You say a speech every year." Katie said. "Many times a year. Your the event planner and you always get a word in." Austin said.
"Yeah. I guess." I said. "Tell them." Cole said. "Right. We are joining the vipers. Keep quiet. I didn't tell you guys yesterday because Ashlynn doesn't know. Neither does my brothers and mom. It's going to be a surprise tonight." I said.
"Your doing your final trial tonight?" Cole Asked. "Act surprised about it otherwise I could fail it. You two need to be dramatic and get off stage halfway through the song so I can go up there." I said. They nodded.
"I didn't get an invite." Katie pouted. "Yeah you did babe. What's up snake lady?" One of the vipers said. It was Tina. "Tina. What's up?" I said.
"Nothing. Viper was upset when you left. He went back to hiding." Tina laughed. "I'll see him tonight at the party." I said. "If your mom lets you." Austin said. "Me and my mother aren't on best terms right now anyway." I said.
They all nodded. I finished my juice and threw away the food I didn't touch. I sat back down.
"I have an idea in mind but, I'm going to talk to Mr. Dale about it." I said. "You need to start planning homecoming. It's in two weeks. The beginning of the year homecoming. Then about four weeks after that we have the fall dance and about six to seven weeks after that we have the winter dance. Then about six or eight weeks after that we got the spring dance. Then about two months and four weeks which would be our last day, we have the summer dance." She stopped after I gave her the look.
"Then I have to plan the prom that takes place two weeks into summer. I know. I've been trying to get to it." I said. "You haven't started. Ever since you started dating Cole you've got nothing done." Katie snapped.
"I'm going to leave so I don't hurt anyone." I said calmly as I got up and left towards the newspaper department. I sat down and started a story.
