"If I joined, I heard there was trials. Those are?" I Asked. "It's kinda like Riverdales rules for the gang there but, a little different." He said.
"A dance?" I questioned. "Well, yeah. That and then you retrieve the knife and hope that you get bit by the viper. And then. Memorize the rules." He said.
"It wouldn't be the first time I danced on the pole." I said remembering three weeks ago. "That was you?" He laughed. "Yeah. You got a problem?" I Asked seriously.
"No. It's just... shocking. You use to be what the town called innocent. And you were an amazing pole dancer." He said. "Mhm. The thing is. If I join. The jacket. My school." I said.
"There is a few kids that go there but, they stay under the radar. They wear their jackets." He said. "Then I guess I'm joining." I said.
"Tomorrow?" He asked. I nodded before walking away towards the diner and when I walked in, everyone looked at me. "What? Can't mind your own damn business. Get back to what you were doing." I snapped before going to my booth and sitting down.
Cole was curious. I cuddled into his side as chit chat started up again. "I'll tell you later." I whispered in his ear. He nodded and kissed my head.
"So. Why was he talking to you?" Ashlynn asked. "It was nothing." I said. "Right? Are you ever honest?" Ashlynn said a bit to loud.
"There's times I'm honest. And when I am, it's because there is no danger." I said before going back to my milkshake.
"Okay. Ashlynn. Riverdale?" Violet said. "I've watched it. I compare myself to Betty. The good her." Ashlynn said. "Well the dark side she has, is Ashleigh." Violet said. "So you can't be... rude to her. It's her. She wasn't like this until the Andersons ruined her life." Austin said.
I realized that it's been half an hour since we arrived. "Can I take a rain check and go to the mall tomorrow?" Ashlynn Asked. "What about Thursday. I actually have a few plans tomorrow." I said.
"You told mom you had nothing." Ashlynn said suspicious. "Well. I canceled these important ones to try and make sure she was okay. I texted them and told them it was back on." I said.
"Right." Ashlynn said before getting up and leaving me. "She hates me. Just like my mother." I said. "You my friend, sound like you need a drink." Violet said. I smirked. "No." Cole said while pulling me up with him. I grabbed my bag and threw some money on the table. Extra for Violet and Austin.
Cole dragged me away until we are outside. "I need to know now." He said. "I heard you want to join the vipers." I said. He sighed. "I swear. I was going to tell you eventually." He said. "I don't have a problem with it. Because I'm going to become one." I said.
"What!? No. Not yet." He said. "It's to late Cole. I can't back out now. I already told your dad." I said. He went to go back to the diner and I knew it was because his dad but, I made him turn around.
"Don't. Just say you want to join. We could be in this together." I said. "I'm staying at Austin's tonight. I'm not speaking a word about this. I'm just... upset." He said before walking away.
I turned around and started walking.
