I sat in front of the mirror, I didn't have much makeup on. I didn't really like the feel of it on my face, I just had mascara and lip gloss. I hear the door open and I looked to see it was Allie, making me look at her.

"Is there a chance I don't have to go?" I said, trying to brighten the mood but she shakes her head.

"You're not missing this."

"Look, if you want my spot on the committee, then take it. Okay, I don't want you upset at me." I said, and she sighs.

"I don't want your pity spot. Just let me be mad at Cassandra for a few days." She says and I nodded, "Now, can you hurry up and get into your dress so we can leave."

I laughed and I walked over to the bathroom where my dress was hung. I slipped it on, with much effort before I looked at myself in the mirror, smiling. I had a grey strapless dress that had a slit on the side, showing off my leg.

My hair was out in it's natural curves, and I tilted my head to the side. I slipped on my necklace my brother had given me, and I looked back over myself. I sighed and I walked out seeing Allie on the bed.

"I feel like an idiot. Can I stay?" I asked and Allie smiles once she sees me.

"Wow, I don't think I've seen you in a dress since we were 12." Allie says and I laughed.

"I don't like dresses, or heels for that matter. But of course, I never have a choice." I said, as Allie hands me my heels. It was hard to slip on, now I had to actually walk in them.

"Wow." Allie says and I looked at myself in my full length mirror.

"My mum would be proud. She always wanted to shove me in a dress." I said, smiling before I started to cry I turned to Allie, "Okay, let's get the fuck out of here before I start to regret everything in my life."

Allie laughs and we walked out, we were walking down the footpath to the venue where the prom was being held. We got there pretty fast, and as we walked in the music was blaring in my ears as we walked through a tunnel of lights.

I saw Bean being the DJ, and she was playing good music. I smiled to myself as I looked at everyone dancing and already drinking. I looked around until my eyes spotted Grizz who was chugging beers with Clark, and I chuckled.

"Go get your man." Allie says, pushing me lightly and I chuckled.

"What are you talking about?"

"You and Grizz." She says in a duh tone.

"There is no me and Grizz. We've been best friends forever." I said, pursing my lips before looking over at him.

I don't know how to feel about him, he surely was attractive I knew that. I did have a crush on him before but I never wanted to act on it, it was too much to lose over our friendship.

"Whatever you say." Allie sing songs before walking off and I laughed, rolling my eyes. I then made my way to the boys, who spotted me and their eyes went wide as they stared.

"Wow. You look amazing Storme." Jason says, looking at me and I smirked.

"Well I know that for sure." I said, and the boys chuckled.

"You better go get your girl man." Clark says, pushing Grizz making me flip them off.

"We're not dating." Grizz and I said at the same time, making the boys laugh and walk off. Grizz walks up to me, smiling.

"You look beautiful Storme." Grizz says, and I smiled.

"You clean up good yourself Grizz." I said, and he smiles.

"Let's dance." He says and he drags me out on the dance floor.

We were dancing around each other, laughing and just having fun. We were the only two on the dance floor who weren't grinding on each other. Soon the boys had called his name, pulling him away. I watched as they did a quick dance routine, making me laugh and smile as Grizz came back to me.

He spins me around and I couldn't help but smile, and dance with him. I don't think I had this much fun since Jai had died and it felt good to smile and laugh. I looked up and I closed my eyes, letting a tear fall.

"Hey, you okay?" Grizz says, making me look at him smiling.

"Never better." I said, and he smiles.

"Want to grab a drink?" He asked and I nodded, he walks off for a minute before walking back over to me with a drink.

I was dancing and drinking as I looked around the room. I was about to slip on something, stumbling over but Grizz had caught me making us laugh as he pulled me back up. Soon, a drunk Luke came up to us with Helena right behind him.

"Grizz is a fucking beast." He yells before walking off. I looked at Grizz and we gave each other a look before bursting out laughing again.

The upbeat music had stopped and it became a slow song. People around us were dancing. Just as I was about to walk off, Grizz had pulled me back into him making me laugh.

"We don't have too." I said, and he smiles.

"I want too." Grizz says and I looked at him, I sighed before putting my arms on his shoulder as his went around my waist.

"I'm glad you came tonight." Grizz says and I smiled.

"I am too."

"You know, I've missed seeing you smile. You haven't since-," Grizz starts but cuts himself off causing me to smile a little.

"Since Jai died." I finished for him and he nods, "Tonight has been amazing. Thank you for being there for me Grizz."

"Always." Grizz says and I couldn't stop looking at his eyes. I looked at him and I gulped seeing him slowly leaning in. Were we going to kiss?

Before anything else happened, a microphone screeched and I looked up to see Kelly standing up on stage. I cleared my throat, backing away from Grizz as we stood there looking at her.

"I just wanted to thank everyone for coming. Thank you to the prom committee, Gwen and Grizz." Kelly says, and Grizz cheered at the sound of his name, "To Bobby Aronson, for letting us ruin your bar mitzvah. I mean, that's what we thought prom would be? A bar mitzvah." Everyone laughs as she gathered her thoughts.

"Prom was supposed to be our way of saying goodbye. I mean, that's what it would've been. It's funny because we are saying goodbye, just not to each other." She says, making everyone quiet, "Were saying goodbye to everything else, our old lives. Our childhood. It's not just some disappearance, slowly, into some darkness. It's just- gone."

I pursed my lips before walking over to the stage and walking up to Kelly. Everyone had gone silent over her words, and I put my arm around her before taking the microphone off her.

"Thank you Kelly for that. Now, we're going to keep playing music." I said, and I nodded at Bean. I led Kelly off the stage and I sat her down, the music had started up again and some started to dance again.

"Here, let me take her." Gwen says, and I looked at her.

"Are you sure?" I said, looking back to Kelly.

"Yeah, yeah, go. I'm sure she'll be fine." She says, and I nodded.

"Let me know if anything's happened." I said, and Gwen nods. I walked off and I see Grizz sitting with Sam, and I took the seat next to him.

"She's okay?" Grizz asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, she's okay."
