It was time for Allie to make her decision. We all piled into the room, everyone taking their seats. I see Dewey and Helena sitting at the same table as before, as I walked down the aisle with The Guard.

The Guard was behind Dewey, except for Grizz who stayed with me to, I guess, contain myself. We sat down a few rows back on the other side of the room away from Dewey. I didn't smile at anyone, I just kept a straight face.

"We had two decisions to make, two rulings. First, Campbell. This court is not about vengeance. It's about fairness and justice. The only evidence we have against Campbell is from Dewey himself and it is not unreliable. No evidence means no trail. So last night, we ordered Campbell be released from custody." Allie says, standing in front and everyone reacted, "It was the right thing to do."

My heart was racing at this point, I didn't know what Allie had decided on. But I had this sick feeling that after Grizz spoke to me, it was because he spoke to the boys and obviously they would've said some things to Allie.

"As for Dewey, he's been found guilty of murder. And the punishment for murder is death." Allie says, and I felt my heart drop.

She kept a serious face as kids stood up and objected. The same very kids that were so quick to turn on Dewey were now so quick to defend him and decided to protect him. I sighed, closing my eyes as I let a tear fall.

"Are you kidding me?" Dewey yells at Allie.

"Let this be a warning." Allie simply stated.

"This is not a court!" Dewey objected and stood but he was held back by Luke and Jason, "You are fucking crazy! You hear me?" Luke and Jason soon dragged him away.

"Let's go." Grizz whispered to me and I nodded, getting up as he grabbed my hand.

"You have no right!" Dewey yelled as he was dragged, "I'm going to fucking kill you bitch! I'm going to kill you both! Then you'll be dead just like Cassandra!" He says, and I knew he was talking about me as I went up to Allie.

I grabbed Allie with me, and we walked down the aisle. People yelled at us, but I didn't give them a reaction as we walked through the front doors.

We were out in the forest, the same forests that my brother died in. I had to stop myself from crying from remembering and for what was about to go down today. I stood off to the side with Allie and Helena as I see the boys been handed guns.

"Two of them are loaded with blanks. One of them is loaded with the real thing." Gordie says, and I see the boys standing there with the gun. Dewey was blindfolded and tied to a chair in the middle of the clearing.

"What are you guys doing?" He asked in a shaky voice.

"That way no one knows who actually killed him." Gordie continued, "Make sure the safety is off."

"Where's the- where's the safety?" Grizz says, looking down at the gun and then to Luke.

"No, no." Helena said, trying to approach the confused boys.

"I got it." Grizz says, with little confidence. I looked over at Helena and she sighs before walking over to Dewey, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm just going to pray with you." She hesitated and Dewey continued to cry. As she prayed Dewey starts to cry even more, yelling over her.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"You can still change your mind." Helena whispered to Allie and I looked at her.

"Look, Allie, I-we don't have to do this." I said, agreeing with Helena but she ignores us, stepping forward.

"Grizz, buddy. Please." Dewey cried out.

I looked over at Grizz before he stumbles back to the side and pukes. I walked over to him and he was coughing as I rubbed his back, tears evident in my eyes. He wipes his mouth with the sleeve of his jacket and he turned to me.

I swallowed my tears as I placed a comforting hand on him, trying to tell him he didn't have to do this. He just looks over to Dewey who was crying out apologies and I walked back over to where Helena, Will and Allie were standing.

"Come on." Luke says, as the boys lined up behind Dewey.

"Are we seriously doing this, man?" Grizz asked looking at the gun in his hands.

"Let's do this, alright? Allie." Luke says, looking over to Allie. The boys all stood and raised their guns pointing it to Dewey.

"On the count of three." Allie says, and I wanted to look away but I couldn't.

"Don't do this please!" Dewey shouted.

"One...two...three." Gunshots filled the air, but Dewey's sobbing continues.

"What? What the fuck? Fuck!" Dewey says, moving around in his chair.

"I think we missed." Jason says.

"Shit. We missed." Luke says, turning to Gordie. Grizz steps back holding the gun in front of him.

"We have to do it again." Allie says, "Can we do it again?"

"The chambers full." Gordie says, and I shake my head.

"No, okay Allie, I think he gets it." I said, and I felt myself shake but once again she ignores my pleas.

"Fuck. Let's go." Luke says, turning back to Dewey.

"Are you fucking serious?" Grizz says, looking at his friends.

"Yes, man. Come on. Let's get it over with." Jason says, raising his gun. Grizz looked over to Allie who started to count then lifts his gun.

"One..." Allie started slowly.

"I can't fucking do this man." Grizz whispered out, and I felt the tears coming again.

"You can Grizz, come on."

"Two..."

"I'm sorry guys, I really am. I can't do it." Grizz says, throwing the gun on the ground in front of him.

He walks over to me and immediately I pulled myself close to him and he puts his face in my shirt. I held him, letting a tear slip out as I held onto him for dear life. I looked over to Will who starts to walk over but Allie, beats him to it.

Allie walks over to the gun, picking it up from the ground. Jason and Luke looked around dumbfounded. I see Allie's hand shaking like crazy as she points the gun forward.

"Call the play, Luke."

"One, two, three."

They pulled the trigger, and I jumped into Grizz's chest. I couldn't hear Dewey anymore, making it confirmed that they had done it. I let the tears fall out and land on Grizz's chest as I hear him sob quietly into my hair. All I could think was how happy I was that Grizz didn't have to have this on his shoulder.
