I hear my phone ring again, making me groan and I covered my ears. My phone had been non-stop ringing for the past 10 minutes, I sighed once it stopped. I was grateful for when it stopped but it was quickly gone once it started ringing again. I grabbed my phone not bothering to look at the contact.

"Holy shit, what?" I said, my eyes still closed as I laid in bed.

"S-Storme." Grizz's voice wavers and I frowned, getting up.

"Grizz? Are you okay?"

"You need to come to the church."

"Grizz I got your text but I'm too tired to leave home, alright? What is it?"

"It's Jai." Grizz says, and immediately I get up.

"I'm on my way."

I didn't wait any longer, I put on my shoes and my jacket before running out of the house. I ran and soon I came to the church, I rushed in seeing everyone standing around and a few crying. I looked around until my eyes spotted Grizz, he came up to me, tears in his eyes.

"Storme-," He starts but I stop him.

"Where is he?" I said, and Grizz looks at me.

"I don't know-,"

"Where is he Grizz?" I said, pushing him and I gasped.

I felt the wind had been knocked out of me, I didn't know how my legs were working but I made it to the table. There Jai was, laying down looking lifeless, I grabbed his hand and I felt the tears start to come.

"Jai, please. Please, you can't leave me. Please, Jai! Wake up! Wake up!" I cried into his chest, holding onto his lifeless body.

"Please! Please!" I screamed out, sobbing into his chest.

"I'm sorry, Storme." Grizz says and he brings me into him.

"What happened to him! Jai! Please! Please, wake up." I screamed and I tried my best to get out of Grizz's hold but he kept me in his arms. I grew tired quickly and I let myself cry into Grizz, holding onto him tightly.

Ten days had passed. A whole week had gone by and I hadn't left my room or shall I say Cassandra's spare room. I kept to myself in my room. I cried myself to sleep every night or I would get high to avoid it.

I barely ate what was given, I sat at my chair, looking out into the backyard, trying to push back the memories of my family. I couldn't bare stay in my house after losing Jai, it was too much.

"Hey." I hear Grizz's voice, "I wanted to see if you wanted to come for a walk?"

"No." I simply answered.

"It's good to get your blood working through your body."

"I don't want to leave the house." I said, and I hear Grizz walking over to me before he crouches in front of me.

"Hey." Grizz says, and I looked down at him, "You know-,"

"Don't. Don't say it." I said, closing my eyes avoiding myself from crying.

"Okay, I won't. But can you at least come get breakfast with me? Cassandra made breakfast."

"I'm not hungry."

"Can you please try and eat something, you're worrying me." Grizz says and I looked at him. I know he feels like he was at fault for what happened with Jai, but I never blamed him. I couldn't.

"Okay." I said, and Grizz gave me a small smile. He holds out his hand and I grabbed it walking out with him. We walked downstairs and I see everyone down here, their conversation stopped short.

I saw Gordie, Sam, Becca, Allie and Cassandra in the kitchen. I walked in and I swear it was so awkward even standing here.

"Here Storme." Allie says, handing me a plate and I gave her a small smile.

"Thank you." I said, and everyone was still quiet, "Wow, don't let me a mood killer." I raised my eyebrows and everyone nods.

"Yeah, sorry." Becca says and I sighed.

"Doesn't matter." I said, and I sat down with Grizz next to me.

"Alright, uh-we're headed back to town hall to see what's hidden in those files. Why this place is exactly like home except with no parents and no smell." Becca says, cutting the silence.

"Maybe our parents were the smell." Grizz says, as he eats. I smiled a little, I hadn't smiled in over a week and that comment sounded like Grizz.

"A parallel universe." Gordie says, setting down his mug. We all looked at him confused.

"What?"

"Uh. we're in a parallel universe." Gordie continued trying to sign to Sam with his fingers.

"Okay." I said and I put my dishes away before walking back upstairs.
