Erick's P.O.V

Akeem brought us to where looks like his....workplace.

The people here were very busy and I saw how they addressed Akeem like he was the boss.

I soon found out that he's in charge, he's like a super agent, or probably a gang leader or maybe a spy, probably he's an undercover cop. I mean its some of that sort, I really don't know but his job to to stop the bad guys.

They brought us in a room and questioned us and we gave them every information we know that could help in finding Maria.

I miss her so much. I feel so responsible right now. I know nothing about her whereabouts and now I feel so empty, so lost.

I shouldn't have gotten mad on her that day at school and now she's gone and it's all because of me.

What if her kidnappers don't feed her?.

What if they hurt her?

My head began to pound so hard and I knew I needed to take things slow and easy but at this point I can't because I feel like I'm loosing her, the girl that I love so deep.

"Have you contacted her parents yet?". I asked but they all looked at me with a confused look but no one said anything.

Okay, so maybe this it their way of saying that they're on the way...right?

"Okay, I'll be back I need some fresh air". I told them before existing the room.

I needed to be here for my friends and Akeem because they're so stressed and confused right now. They want Maria back home as much as I do.

She doesn't have her phone so we can track her, her kidnappers haven't called and ask for money so I find this rather strange.

Akeem has been shouting a lot and keeps saying "how can he take her" so I'm guessing that he knows who has her but he doesn't want to tell us, because we'll get worried.

I needed to pour my heart out.

What if she's dead? Oh god I wouldn't know how to live with myself.. I wish for her to be alive.

I wanted some comfort now I didn't want to bother my friends so I went to the only place where I felt at peace.

My mom's grave.

It wasn't a long drive to the cemetery. I got out of my car and walked slowly towards her grave.

"Hey ma". I started.

"I wish you were here today so I can talk to you in person but I can still feel your presence, I still feel you near me". I said while touching her gravestone.

"Mom I'm so lost right, I met this girl her name is Maria. We became friends a few months ago and we started hanging out and my feelings for her developed. I really love her mom, I really do but she's gone. They kidnapped her a few days ago and I have no hope in finding her. I miss her so much. She reminds me of you so much, how you were always fun and joyful but you held so much pain. She's like you ma, I see her pain but she doesn't want me to help. I want her to know that I'll never leave her but now I feel like she'll eventually leave me like you did. I don't want that to happen mom, I love her a lot". I sobbed silently as I whispered to her.

I stayed there in silence as I communicated with her, since its the only way before I got up and dried my tears

"Bye mom, I'll let you know when I find her". I told her before leaving.

I was just about to go in my car when I saw a black van on the other side of the cemetery and the person inside looks so familiar like someone I know, like someone who I'm longing to see.

Just as the person saw me looking, they drove off. I didn't think about anything I just got inside my car and immediately started following the van.

It was driving really fast, at a really high speed I must say but I wasn't gonna loose it, I hope I don't loose it.

I'm sure they could see me following them but I don't care, I just needed some damn closure and I was gonna get it today.

I quickly got out my phone and dialled Jabarie's number.

"Where are you?". He said as he answered.

"The weirdest thing is happening right now man, I'm following a black van. I was at the cemetery and I saw the person and then they saw me and then suddenly drove off so now I'm following them". I told him while my eyes were on the road.

"What the hell? Are you crazy Erick? How can you just follow someone that you don't even know?". He asked loudly on the other side of the call.

"I know who I saw Jabarie but don't worry after I sort things out with him I'll call you. Let me know if you get any news on Maria's whereabouts". I said.

"Yeah I will, but where exactly are you?". He asked again.

"I'm on Dallas Drive going on the main road that leads to Supremes Warehouse". I told him.

"Who the hell goes there!? Just be careful". He said before I told him 'okay' and we ended the call.

The van took a turn and started to drive on an abandoned road and this rose my suspicion.

I followed it nonetheless and realized that its an abandoned road but yet still it leads to the same abandoned warehouse that I told Jabarie about.

I drove behind it, but as far as possible so the person doesn't really know that I'm following.

I got out of my car and walked slowly to the warehouse behind a building that I could hide.

I looked around and saw that there were other cars here and I couldn't help but wonder why are people here? I mean it's an abandoned warehouse for Christ sake!.

I watched the men as they walked inside and I tiptoed to find another entrance.

I walked around but just in time to hear a few voices and I paused in my tracks and listened. I couldn't hear well because it sounded more like whispers.

I was about to walk off when I felt a hard metal hit the back of my head and I suddenly became dizzy.

I couldn't control the feeling that invaded my body and the darkness took over.

"Welcome Erick". Was the last thing I heard before I fell into a deep unconsciousness.
