I ended up in front of Emma's house. As I got there I've noticed a car rushing away from Emma's house. That must be Oskar. I quickly got out of my car and started banging on Emma's door. There was no response. I started to get worried so I walked in myself. Only now I have realised how big her house was. I had no idea where Emma's room was so I started running into every room downstairs. There was at least five rooms downstairs but Emma was in none of them. I ran upstairs seeing a small corridor with about three bedrooms and another pair of stairs. Her house was really huge. I walked into the bedroom closest to me but it was empty. I walked into the bedroom next door and there I found her. Lying on her bed, her arm was all bruised. Motionless. "Emma?!" I say running up to her. For a second I thought she was dead but she sat up in her bed, surprised to see me.
"Luke?" She gasped. "What are you doing here?" Her eyes were blood red from crying but she still looked beautiful.
"Emma! I was so worried! We didn't hang up last night so I heard everything!" I said sitting down next to her. She started crying even more.
"Luke! I'm so sorry you had to hear this!" She says sobbing in between words.
"Emma! It's fine!" I say letting her cry on my shoulder. After she got calmer I hug her tight to comfort her. "How many times has this happened before?" I whisper it.
She stands up and puts her shirt up just to reveal her belly. It was almost all bruised! "Too many." She whispers.
I stand up feeling the urge to hug her again but tighter.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" I ask.
"I'm scared! Luke, I'm too scared. The amount of times he pushed and punched me. I just not strong enough. Besides that, I have no one. Since my mom has died, I've been alone." She sobs.
"You don't have to be alone anymore. I am here Emma. I will always be here."
We lay on her bed. My hands were tight around her waist and her head lay on my chest.
"Why don't you leave?" I finally ask. "I have nowhere to go." She answers quickly. "You can come and live with me." I say. "I mean until you find somewhere else." I add as soon as I realize how wrong it sounded. She is about to say no when I start begging her. "Come on. This can't carry on. Please."
"Okay." She finally answers. I feel so relived. I don't want her to be hurt. For some reason she means a lot to me. I don't even understand why.
