Chapter 17.

I walk into this small cafe called Nells. It's not the best of cafés but it'll do.

I see Jack and a girl with bright orange hair. She looked like one of these girls from TV. The ones advertising hair. Her and Jack looked like they were having a serious conversation. "Emma!" Said Jack as I came closer. He stood up giving me a clearer views of her. "Emma, this is Rosa. Rosa, this is Emma." Said Jack introducing us. "Hi." Smiled Rosa putting her hand out to me. "Hey." I smile back shaking her hand. We sat down and talked about the room. It's a great price! Also from the picture it looks great! Also Rosa seems nice but the best of all is that it's not so far away from Luke.

"You can come and have a better look at the apartment tomorrow. " Said Rosa. That's a bad idea. Luke is back tomorrow. "I can't tomorrow. My friend is back in town tomorrow so I don't think so. I'll text you when I can come though." I say. "Great! Okay I'll see you soon!" Said Rosa hugging me.

I was walking home now. Looks like I'm going to make good friends with Rosa. I feel my phone vibrate. Someone's calling me.
"Hey!" It's Luke. "Hey Lukey." I say in a really girly voice. "Heeeey Emmie." He repeats trying to mimic my voice. "Oh shut up." I laugh. "Sorry. How are you?" He asks. "I'm great! And oh my god! Guess what?" I say excited. "What?" He asks. "I've found a good apartment." I say. "Noooooooo." He says trying to do a sad voice. "You can't leave me." He says. "It's not even that far away from your house. I can come everyday and sit in your house till you get sick of me." I laugh. "You better do." He laughs too. "But anyway, how are you?" I ask. "I'm great! Even better knowing that I'll see you tomorrow." He said. He sounds so serious about it too! "Aww haha. What time will you be home?" I ask. "About two ish." He says. "That's good." I smile to myself. "Are you outside?" He asks me. "Yea. I've been having a lunch with Jack and Rosa. " I say. "Who are they?" He asks me. "Rosa is my future roommate." I say. "What about that Jack?" He asks. "He's the guy that we've saw on the fair." I say quickly. "Oh. That's cool." There seems to be something worrying in his voice. A mixture of anger and worry? "Anyway. I have to go now." Says Luke. "Okay, bye." I say but he already hung up. What was wrong with him?
