Chapter 45.

The next day I make my way to the hospital. But what now? I can't just go in and be like hey I'm your boyfriend but you can't remember me because you've been in coma for almost 2 years and you've got long term amnesia oh and by the way, you've tried to commit suicide because of your abusive step father and your mother is dead. But anyway let's get back together! No. It doesn't work like that.
I've got flowers for her and a secret present wrapped up in shinny red wrapping paper.
As I walk into the hospital I realise that the its brightly decorated with Christmas lights. Well, of course it is. It's Christmas Eve, Luke you dumb shit. I think to myself.
I see a nurse walking past and quickly stop her and give her the present. She smiles at me and goes away.
I make my way up to Emma's room and find her sitting by the window.
"Hi." I smile shyly. It feels like I'm meeting her all over again.
"Hello." She looks at me and smiles.
"I got you some flowers." I say.
"Thanks..." She's trying to think of my name.
"Luke." I say.
"Yes." She smiles with amusement.
I sit by her near the window.
"How long have I been gone for? She asks.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"How long have I been in coma for?"
"Almost two years." I answer.
"I'm sorry." She says.
"What for?" I look into her eyes but she won't look into mine.
"Not remembering you. I really wish I could but I just can't." She looks at me avoiding my eyes.
"It's okay." I say giving her a cheerful smile
"Tell me something about us? The doctor said that this will help me get my memory back." She said.
"Well, what do you want to know?" I ask.
"Urmm, how did we meet?"
"We've met outside your house." I smile thinking back to that day.
"Really? How come?" She giggles.
"You were my tutor. We use to mess around a lot but you were a great teacher. I asked you so many times to go out with me somewhere but you were always busy till one day I finally got you out." I smile to myself.
I can feel her watching me when she takes my hand. I look up at her. She smiles.
"Time to go." Says the nurse.
"I'll be coming out soon. Do you want to go and like hang out or something?"
"I was going to ask you the same." I smile.
"Bye, I guess." She says awkwardly.
"Yeah, haha." I say even more awkwardly and stand up and make my way to the door.
"Luke?" I hear her voice.
I turn around and find her right opposite me.
She's so close to me that I can feel the warmth of her body. When out of nowhere her hands wrap around my body.
It feels great to be able to have her in my arms again.
"Sorry." She says and let's go of me.
"No, it's fine." I smile.
"Sir, time to go." Says the nurse again.
"Okay, well, see you." I say.
"See you soon." She smiles back.

Emma's POV:
I wake up the next day.
That Luke guy... Why did I hug him? It felt so right. He's so cute. He's really shy but it's adorable.
"It's 9 am! Time for a breakfast!" Says the nurse walking into my room.
I sit up in my bed.
"How are you feeling today?" She asks.
"I'm okay. Thanks." I smile.
"And how is your friend?" She asks.
"My friend?"
"You know, the blond boy with blue eyes and a lip ring?"
"Oh, he's cute." I smile.
"Really? Because y'know... he might have left you something." The nurse grins.
"What do you mean?"
"Here." She passes me a box wrapped up in shiny red wrapping paper then puts a plate with food beside my bed.
"Merry Christmas." She says before leaving my room.
I hold the present in my hands and slowly start to unwrap it.
It's not big so I'm assuming it's some kind of jewellery.
Inside there's a little box that says Pandora. Inside there's a beautiful gold necklace with 3 silver charms; heart, the letter E for my name and another heart. It looks expensive and just amazing. It was at least $200. He must have a really good job.
I was so lucky to have him.
