Chapter 15.

"Who was it?" I pull away from him. "Just Ashton." He says. "He has some kind of a special announcement. He is making some kind of a party for it." He adds. We weren't kissing anymore. Luke was leaning on the wall and steadying himself by placing one hand on the wall just above my head. "We're going on a small three day gig on Tuesday. I'm going to have to leave you." He says with sadness on his face. "That's fine." I say looking down at the floor. I look up to see him smiling. "Will you come with me?" He asks. "To Ashton's party I mean."

"Sure. When is it?" I ask. "Next month." He smiles at me.

I wake up. I looked outside the window to see a horrible and dismal weather. It's Tuesday today. I got out of my bed and to the living room. I was so thirsty that I just needed a drink. I've noticed that on the table there was a small note.

To Emma.

Good morning beauty. I'm on a 3 day gig. I'll be back by Friday night. The houses is all yours! I'll call you later.

-Luke.

I smiled for some reason. I looked at my phone to check the time. One unread message.

From: unknown.

Hey! It's me Jack! I was wondering if we could maybe meet up today?

I quickly replied with okay but instead of replying he called me.

"Good morning." He said.

"Morning."

"How about a little breakfast?"

"Sure." I say biting my lip.

"Meet me in the park in a hour."

"Okay."

I started to get dressed and put my makeup on, keeping my eye on the time. Soon I was done and I started to make my way down the town.

"Hey!" I heard Jack's voice. "Hi!" I say. To my surprise he hugged me. "Let's go!" He said. We went to this cute European cafe. We started talking and laughing when my phone rang. "Who's that?" Jack asked me. "Oh it's Luke. That boy you saw me with few days back. Just give me a second." I say.

"Emma? Hey!" Says Luke.

"Hey! How you doing?" I ask.

"I'm great actually! I've got a concert in twenty minutes. I just wanted to ask how you are."

"I'm good thanks. I went down the town with my old friend for breakfast." I said.

"That's nice. I miss you by the way." He said. I could hear someone singing in the background. Ashton.

"I miss you too." I smiled even though I know he can't see.

"I have to go now. I'll call you later."

"Okay bye." I say.

"Is he your boyfriend or something?" Jack asks me with a grin.

"No. He's not." I laugh.

"He seems to like you. And no offence but you seem to like him too." He says. I look down not answering.

"Emma. Remember what your mom said! She told you to avoid jerks that would break your heart and to be honest I think he is that jerk she warned you about."

"Luke is not a jerk! You don't even know him!"

"And do you?" He says. I'm about to leave but he pulls my hand. "I'm sorry Emma. I didn't mean it in that way. I want you to safe. I just think you deserve someone better. Like me."
