I groaned. "What happened?" My head throbbed as I sat up, disorientated. "My room. I... I fainted?"
Foolish girl. You should listen.
"You said I always have a choice." Irritation slipped through my voice.
Yes, of course you do. But we have choices too, (Y/N). And if our choices contradict then there's just no way for both of us to be happy.
Don't be stupid. We already did this once before. Don't make the same mistake again.
I sighed, getting out of bed and heading into the bathroom. It was oddly silent. "What happened to everyone?" I changed course and headed for the bathroom. The servants were all there.
"(Y/N)!" Finny cried happily.
"Thank God. We were worried sick!" Bard said.
"We heard you fainted, yes we did!" Mey-Rin said.
My head gave another painful hit, not expecting loud voices. "Right. Uh, where's Sebastian and the Earl?"
"They went out just an hour ago. Said something about the queen and a dead body. Uh, Jack something," Bard said.
"John Stanley," Mey-Rin corrected.
"Yeah, him."
My eyes widened. Oh shit. I forgot to warn Ciel! And Sebastian... "I'm heading out!" I exclaimed, running into my room to change.
"Oi, wait! Where you going?"
I road a horse into London streets, trying hard to remember where Lau had settled. I thanked the coincidence of the weather. Not many people were on the streets. Especially since it was nearly evening. I slowed my mount when I saw a carriage in the distance coming towards me. A figure clearly clad in black sat at the reins.
"Sebastian," I breathed, urging my horse forward.
The carriage was suddenly stopped by a band of Scotland Yard. My horse skidded to a halt before them. I was too late.
You couldn't have warned him anyways, Luxxi said. Exposing too much of the future will damage this timeline dangerously.
"Who are you?" a policeman questioned.
I slid off the horse. "Leave or I will fucking punch you in your bloody face into a mangled pulp!"
He looked stunned and confused to be suddenly threatened so aggressively by a woman.
"(Y/N). Stand down," Ciel said, stepping out of the carriage.
"But!"
He held up a hand. "I'm not going to repeat myself."
I scowled.
"Young Master," Sebastian called.
He nodded.
"Ciel Phantomhive. You are under arrest for the trafficking of illicit substances."
I ran to Sebastian, causing a few alarmed men to cock their revolvers to me. I held onto him. "Sebastian, you have to leave. Now. Please, leave!"
He hesitated for a millisecond. "Not without the Young Master."
I felt the familiar warm tingle down my spine as we were all locked and separated.
