Leyland Adventures Chapter One: Part Three

The two reached Aradressa's pleasant room, complete with pink wallpaper and a cream rug, a closet containing clothing, a flat-screen TV that sat on a level surface and drawers full of female undergarments. Brown shelves of rare items and books stood against the walls as her weapons did as well. He noticed her room had an increased living space compared to the others, nothing to take seriously of course. The pendulum clock to the right of her luxurious bed read nine forty-seven.

"You have a very lovely room."

"Yes, we will be resting here together." She sat on the queen-sized snow white embroidered pink rose cover, inviting him to sit down with her.

Smiling, he sat with her as their gleaming eyes confronted each other once more.

"Is there any way to get back home, my home?"

"Yes, there's a powerful woman named Peoria at the ends of Leyland that can grant wishes. We'll have to collect twenty special gemstones to get a wish as any request will be granted. The required gemstones are as listed: fire, lightning, aqua, wind, nature, light, dark, sun, moon, sound, mirror, rock, ice, healing, psychic, ghost, galaxy, poison, time, and shadow."

"I see...sounds like this will take awhile. Where's the first gemstone?"

"It's in the stomach of a fierce fire dragon somewhere in Leyland, we'll have to locate its egg and defeat it. Not many are familiar with the appearance of the egg, the reason being that the beast is able to inhabit the eggs of others."

"Fighting it will be the easy part; I've fought many beasts in the past though the number of gemstones I need to collect is worrying."

"Gemstones are acquired by consummating certain tasks, mainly by vanquishing the holders of each gemstone, but worry not as I will assist you."

Just before he could even thank her, she was called by her mother. The echoes of her powerful voice caused the young princess to arise.

"I'm sorry, but I must go."

He understood, informing her that he would wander around for a bit. Unable to let him travel alone, she hurriedly rushed to the shelves of her pearl-colored nightstand, scooping out a necklace with a small golden chain holding a pink crystal forming a flower.

"I apologize for its feminine design. This item forms a makeshift shield if someone or something endeavors harming you with power you're incapable to forfend yourself against. It's ineffective against the people you value."

Gazing at the crystal, he threw the necklace over his head, thanking her with a grin. Her mother called her again, the two walked downstairs together with Tysashi heading out the door.

"Where is the boy going?"

"He wanted to walk around for a bit; he'll return shortly, mother."

"Very well, I've looked into him...the boy seems incredibly powerful, he'll do nicely in the arena", Marissa gave a promising grin that usually meant she looked forward to an upcoming event.

"I sensed his potential as well. Mother, have you gathered all of the necessary participants?"

"Not quite, all I ask of is two more entries and it seems Tysashi will do perfectly."

Her statement ended with a somewhat devilish tone, mixed signals orbited around the two. Aradressa suggested to hold off on mentioning the event to him, the opponents would most likely torment him with disgusting comments. Her mother agreed, though still curious if he was powerful enough to survive the warriors of the arena.
