Leyland Adventures Chapter Thirteen: Part Twenty-Three

"Thank you for the services!  We hope to see you again soon," the teller said with a friendly smile.

"Uh-huh, see ya next time!"

Finally finished with her business at the bank, she brought Tysashi out.

"My bad that took so long. We would've been outta there sooner if that old lady didn't spend so much time cussing the teller out."

"Heh, yeah. That was crazy."

"I know, what a Kuma. Anyhow, we've got a couple of places left to visit, so let's go!"

Fayemi proceeded to take Tysashi all throughout the outlet. With every store she visited, he wondered if she even got tired at all. A speck of regret was planted in his mind, but Fayemi's charm made her irresistible to be around. Her smile made the experience all the more worth it. As long as she was content, so was he. Though fortunately, only one store was left.

As Fayemi scanned the area for healing items, Tysashi stood by without an objective. He assumed she was gathering items for fight with Glace she planned. As this was the final destination, he took a deep inhale and patiently waited for her. Suddenly, the doors were kicked open by a pair of men dressed in all black. Equipped with firearms, their demanding voices ruptured the peace.

"Everyone on the floor, now!"

"These bullets are laced with Otomo Poison, so don't try to be a hero! Everything here is ours!"

Desperate for survival, a majority of fairies followed their orders as they looted the place. All except for a certain pair.

"Hey, you two, are you deaf? Get on the floor!" He commanded, aiming his weapons towards them.

While Tysashi geared himself for a fight, Fayemi held him back, denying their orders. The two let out a few warning shots, but couldn't shake the two.

"You think you're scaring me with those guns?" Fayemi questioned with a smirk.

"Aww, look here. This doll thinks she's so tough and brave. But remember what we said about being a hero?" At the end of his sentence, he fired a bullet without remorse.

Anticipating his reaction, Fayemi blocked the bullet with a wall of ice. With the man dumbfounded, she seized the opportunity. With a powerful kick, she disarmed him of the weapon, landing in Tysashi's hands. She then formed a sharp icicle, placing near the robber's neck.

His partner threatened her with the gun, but his own trick was used against him by Tysashi. The four placed themselves in a difficult situation, one wrong move could spell death for anyone. The others kept their eyes on the four, their wings fluttering rapidly. The cashier, however, had contacted the police.

"Hmm, a classic situation. Look, I wanna get outta here without exhausting myself. How bout you put everything back and wait until the police arrive, huh? No one has to get hurt."

The robbers exchanged looks, giving a subtle nod. At that moment, a piercing yell broke free from the second robber. Distressed screams of the customers blended in with the thundering shout, causing Fayemi to drop the captured man. Tysashi dropped the weapon and covered his ears. With everyone distracted, the stolen weapon was acquired, and the two scurried out the store.

The painful ringing in their ears eventually subsided, though the memories wouldn't.

"Damn Sound-Type." Fayemi groaned, lifting herself off the ground.

"Come on, we gotta chase them!" Tysashi sprung up, taking Fayemi's hand.

"Nah, they've probably already gotten far. Sorry, everyone."

Despite the failing to subdue the criminals, the two received gratitude from the customers. As a special thanks, Fayemi received the items she picked for free, leaving the store with a cheerful spirit.

"Well, that sucked, but we're not gonna let it ruin our day, right?"

He nodded in response.

"And I know the perfect way to take our minds off it."

Fayemi brought Tysashi to a wonderous waterfall, the two gazed in awe as the sounds of rushing water hit their ears.

"Beautiful, ain't it?"

"Yeah, it is."

"Alright, let's get started."

Tysashi turned his head to her in confusion. Suddenly, Fayemi began to undress as if Tysashi wasn't next her.

"H- hey! What are you doing?!" His heart made a small leap inside of him as he quickly covered his eyes.

With an echoing shout of excitement, Fayemi put herself in a diving position straight into the water. Just barely, he could see Fayemi resurface.

"Come on down, Tysashi! The water is awesome!" She shouted, waving her hand.

"I- I didn't bring any swimming clothes, though." He responded.

"Just jump naked, I won't look."

As if he wasn't already set on not jumping, Fayemi's comment only strengthened his reasoning.

"I think I'll just stay up here, you have fun though."

"Ok, but feel free to drop in at anytime!"

Fayemi then spent roughly thirty minutes swimming without a care in the world. Tysashi waited patiently for her, still shaken by her confidence to just leap off into a waterfall.

Eventually, she finally returned to him, putting her clothes back on.

"Ah, what a perfect swim. You should totally join me next time, probably in a regular place for swimming."

He agreed, hoping he'd never have to make such a dangerous move.

"Alright, I'm ready to fight Glace now. Come on, let's get Alfred and we'll be on our way."

Tysashi followed right behind her, wondering if Fayemi was powerful enough to take Glace on, or if that was just the tomboy in her talking.
